Warnock and 69 for 24 56 72 confirmed

My understanding is that you have to use picks you trade for. Can anyone confirm this (or otherwise). But why would you bother trading 69 and 72????

You don't have to use them anymore Gav. Hence the Corrie for pick 93 trade and the Geelong trades last year (King went for pick 90 or something). It's to try and encourage more player movement.

What irritates me about all this was how much Freo wasted everyones time with all this nonsense, ours and Freos, for essentially a pair of nothing picks. Time that could've been better spent looking for other trading opportunities, and time for Freo to look for a trade for Josh Carr.

Meh. It is a break-even. Would have been happy for the little upstart prick to be pushed off to PSD, but we get an extra pick for him and who knows, mite get a rough diamond. Not bad, not jump up and down exciting either. Wouldnt it be a shame if Kruzer completely dominated Carltons ruck nxt yr and Robbie ends up playing VFL!

This brings us back to before all this started - I can't see him being the dominant No. 1 there any time soon - could well be proved wrong as Kruzer ends up in the Fwd line permenantely, but he's so good around the ground (better than Warnock) I can't see him not becoming the main man. One big reason for him choosing the moral vacume that is 'visy-land' was the 'opportunity' to be the No 1 - we'll see I supose.

Sticke Icke wanted it out of the way first thing Monday and Carlton were linked with every player that has ever played the game and all they got was a skinny ruckman they didn't ever care about it.

Carr has faced down J Brown, so I can't see Solomon making him nervous. Though Solomon is a sniper so he may take out Carr.

Not any more. Remember Steven King and Charlie Gardiner were traded for pick infinity last year and Geelong never used it.

We were never going to get a top five draft pick, so we were never going to get fair value for him. If we got three draft picks for one player I would've said it was a pass. Throwing away pick 69 as well is not such a big deal, but it just means the trade doesn't look as good on paper.

Plus pick 69 was an absolute gun in last year's draft, most of you would've heard of him... I believe his name is Kepler Bradley.

Freo will use Pick 56 but maybe not 72, Carlton will use Pick 69.

Therefore not nothing Picks, but 72 for 69 is nothing.

May be worth upgrading Connolly rather than selecting so deep in the draft. Not that he'd get game time.

Agree there is no point, apart from that he is a ruckman, and we may be better having a rookie selection than using pick 72.

Wrong, 4 days ago it was just #24. While the latter picks may be a loose change for some, we need to replace 10 players and digging deep in ND is the only way of achieving it.
