... starts this week. :thumbsu:

Players listed from one-to-three years from Fremantle are scheduled to start this week, while four-year-plus veterans begin the following week.

Key Dockers midfielder Paul Hasleby has already trained for three weeks in his recovery from a year out with a serious knee reconstruction.

He is looking good for the Dockers' Round 1 clash against the Western Bulldogs, although football operations general manager Chris Bond said there was no rush on Hasleby.

"He's coming off a significant knee injury, so it's just one of those situations where we'll be patient and just wait and see how he's going in a few months time,'' Bond said. ``There are no real expectations at this stage. He's only just really started to get back into it, but things are going well.''

In another positive for the port club Andrew Browne's troubled hamstring has been given the all-clear for him to start training next week.

I look forward to your first training report sometime next week then IP.
;)

No longer working from home dom, allowing me (well me giving myself ;)) the freedom to go through the lights at Norfolk St and turn left into Freo Oval, rather than into South Tce, after dropping kids off at school. :(

I work full-time away from home so the onus will have to be on someone else... :)

School hols might be a different story. :thumbsu:

Thats a shame, I enjoyed your reports last year. Hope a freo local can step up to the plate :):thumbsu:

Living in Vic for the last two years the discovery of bigfooty was my only lifeline to Freo info and your posts and I think it was your pics of training where a godsend ,sorry to hear your no longer able to do it. And please no more references to norfolk st and South tce,the wife and daughters have banned all mention of Freo sts and South Tce is to close to the old homestead in Howard st and the old long gone South Terrace primary.Ah the memories,Garry Scott,Ross Bowe,Ivan Glucina. Now youve done it ,given my age away and Mrs Malik is locking me up away from the suitcases

You forgot the Bauskis brothers, Rowley Daw, Franz Tomka etc etc

I'm only living 5-10 mins away, when do they normally train in the summer months?

It used to be Mon, Wed, Fri 9.30 am for the whole squad out on the Oval; and I think Tues, Thurs, Sat they did individual programmes in the gym and stuff.

I think, however, they start off at Troy Park in Attadale for some reason, and move to Freo Oval after a couple of weeks. They've done that the last few years anyway. No idea why.

Are you in Vic for good, or planning on coming back at some stage? I should be able to get down for a look once school hols start - and there were a few others who posted reports last summer - so take a deep breath and you should be fine. ;)

Daughters love it ,Melbourne is definately for the young, but you obviously
live in Freo so you know the only way to get Freo out of the system is death so yes we are coming home childless

I'm only a couple of minutes away and am on Long service leave for the rest of this year, so will probably get down for a few training sessions.

Just don't expect the same level of footballing insight that you got from IP.

But I can definitely take some photos to put up .... I mean we need pics to check out all those body fat percentages.

Now youve done it,Peter Troode,Ron Doig,Fred Senior,Colin Beard,Basil Campell,Benny Vigona, names to make any Old Easts supporter choke on their beer. And dont forget the pigpen at Freo oval .Now they were derbies. Its been said a million times but thats some of the heritage we should be locking into.

Oh My Gods - Quoted for truth!! :thumbsu: :D

So envious... :o

Enjoy - working in the industry that you do - you bloody well deserve it!

That's half a generation before me some of those names... I was around, but too young to remember the 1970 GF, but I was among the thousands of kids to storm Subi Oval getting autographs on my Footy Budget, and patting the backs of my red and white premiership heroes in 1980!! Aah those were the days. The time I spent at Freo Oval in the late 70s / early 80s hanging over the fence banging on the metal signs... awesome childhood memories. :thumbsu:

That's awesome hoss, enjoy your break!!

Could I ask what industry that is?

Work straight opposite The Seaview there ...... only male worker in the house, which is why IP suggested why I need and deserve the rest. *sigh *exhaustion ... completely burnt out! ;)

But really, I've been on LSL since July, just got back from Europe this week... and I usually work at the aforementioned STPS.

oh and thanks very much Dom!

Thanks for all of your great reports IP, being in Melbourne as well it does make it difficult to get a true feeling of who we are looking at picking up in the Draft/PSD.
I have heard that we have a delisted Wet Toast player S Armstrong trying to impress us. I would have thought that a certain delisted young Geelong Midfielder would be better for us.

Any info would be great as i wait another 150 days before we get ready to improve and show the true Fremantle Spirit.

PS no more mentions of the Norfolk, too many memories.LOL.;)

I was thinking ATC or prison guard ...so missed it by that much.

Anything you could do would be wonderfully appreciated by us outside the country.

Excellent, I'll be able to give a guesstimate and we can see how every player is tracking in their diets/training. ;)

Another thing we could use is someone on the inside who actually has all the skinfold/BF tests to post the numbers. Any takers?

Okay - so I have a late start on a Monday morning... and I happened ;) to be driving past Freo Oval on my way to work and guess what??? There was some action out on the ground!! So what else could I do, but stop for a bit (and get waaaaay behind for the rest of the day mind you) and have one of my "little squizzes".

Only 8 guys out on the oval, doing some sprint work, then they ran a few laps - then I had to go, so not sure what happened after that.

1. Hase - no strapping on his knee, looking lean, was leading the pack in the lap running.
2. Gilmore
3. Peake
4. Ibbo (took his shirt off when they started laps.... *swoon*... ;))
5. Brock
6. Pratt
7. Connelly

and the surprise...

8. Chris Smith  Obviously must have been told he'll be redrafted if he impresses on the track during these next few weeks.

So there ya go. :thumbsu:
