He was the top point guard only 3-4 years ago but this year, is Nash still a top 5 PG?

he was the top PG two seasons ago, not 3 or 4.
IMO he still is (Top 5), most GMs rated him top passer (i think) and he is still third in assist giving with not as many minutes as others. Also is the best shooter of them all and is still averaging 15 PPG in only 34 minutes.
paul, harris, deron, nash and billups (in no order) are probably the top 5 PGs in the league. thing is, apart from paul, the next 6 or so could be raffled with parker and nelson definitely in the same league as those other 4.
rondo calderon miller and kidd afterwards.

Rondo was good today. Thats 3 games in a row against Harris, Harris & Nash in which he has outplayed the other teams starting point guards....
Not that one should draw anything from consistent high quality play and beating ones opponent. Meaningless stuff....

While I respect that reading continuous sentences may be problematic for you, I was actually responding to a post in which a comparison of the two was made.
This is often how threads unfold... you know one comment leads to a response and so on....
Again, apologies if you can't keep up, I will try harder next time.
By the way, one would have to argue that Nash is only a Top 5 anything if he continues as a premium scorer and assist guy on a winning team. On a poor team with declining scoring stats his porous defence makes him a liability when trying to stop the other team.... he is now a very good point guard who has serious and exposed flaws.... I doubt he is Top 5....

This is a PG thread. Bibby basically plays SG for the Hawks
Fwiw, I know that a lot of basketball people whose opinions I respect place a ton of emphasis on the 1 being able to shoot, and Bibby can certainly do that. He's cut his TOs dramatically as well (last I checked), which has made him pretty efficient.
To the 9 I listed earlier, I'd add probably Rose and Miller as guys ahead of Bibby, but not too many more. So I'd say he's in that 12-15 range.

By the way, what is it with Norf fans? I have had about 5 intractable arguments on the boards with bona fide intellectual pygmies and every one of them was a Norf fan - its amazing - seems to be they have a big chip and a dollop of small man syndrome in just about the perfect quantity - someone should do a study.
