Theres alway Chris Yarren to come hahahaha

Sidebottom has a very good game on the weekend, named in the best and picking up a lazy 30 touches.

Has to be inline to debut VERY soon, although I doubt they will bring him against the Saints, as they have proven to be extremely physical so far this year.

The injuries to Hurley and Broughton have basically made them very good downgrade targets for the likes Petrenko, Suban, Hill.

You would think this but Mick loves exposing kids in the big games. Having a highly skilled player like Sidebottom could benefit the team.

whats everyones thoughts on cockie or debour ? if u had to bring one of them in this week ?

which has the better job security?

if any eagles or freo supporters enlighten me on this situation would be much appreciated !! thanks

In my opinion, Cockie. But I doubt very much that I'll go near either.

DeBoer has much better security. Played a shutdown role on Wirrapanda after half time which limited his output. With Crowley going down I expect he will get more midfield time. Will play at least 4-5games in a row.

Cockie has a higher ceiling, easier run in the next 3 games but could be one of the first dropped after a loss. I reckon Melbourne will get over the E-girls this weekend after watching them against Geelong.

Yes and no. A trade of Petrenko to Hurley would only net you ~20K, which is almost a sideways trade. Similar to the Robinson to Hartlett trade that a lot of coaches fell for recently.
But I can see your point; we got Petrenko and Suban for only 86K, they have done their job and probably reached their ceiling, so it might not be so crazy to trade them to Hurley as Hurley is just starting out, will rise in price and has more upside.

Petrenko has definitely reached his ceiling, but I believe Suban still has some room to move... I'd hang on to Suban for a few more weeks, should be a candidate to get more midfield time since he's already established himself as one of our best kicks and the injuries to Palmer/Crowley clear spots there.

Clancee has been very solid for Swannies in the WAFL (Last 4 games in my sig :thumbsu:)

Palmer going on the LTI injury list means we can elevate a rookie whenever we want to debut one. The thinking of most Freo supporters is bring in Pearce across HB and release Roger Hayden in a midfield role.

Clancee is definitely ahead of all the other rookies atm, at worse he will get the mid-season elevation.
It appears that Pratt is ahead of Clancee and may even play this week.

Any tips on ruck rookies to bring in for Meesen? - Need some cash...

Surely Spencer will get a run ahead of Jamar at some stage?

Any others below $87k?

Don't care if they aren't getting a run just yet.

Daniel Curre for swans...big expectations for him in 09 but he has been injured, played very well last week in reserves. Mike Pyke is currently the swans second ruck and he is 75k but i would say he will only play 4-5 games this year at the most:o

I like the look of sidebottom and if he plays well this week then i will strongly consider downgrading walker to him, or yarren alternativley

Will Yarran or Sidebottom hold their spot though?

Sidebottom for a couple of weeks until Didak and Beams come back but then what? It'd be tight. Yarran would also be fighting for a spot.

Is it worth risking Ballantyne for a few weeks? is his spot more secure?

Where the hell are the back downgrade targets?

75k Luke Pratt is our only viable option it seems.

keep Raines/Houlihan/(whoever you've got) and play the donut, i say
