How do you guys reckon Del Potro will go with playing two finals in the last 2 weeks. I dont reckon he should play have a break untill the US Open.

Stosur pulls off another top 10 scalp over Kuznetsova 6-4 6-3 in Toronto.
Regularly getting these top wins and starting to make some big waves. Hopefully she gets some revenge on Pennetta in the 3rd round.

Another top win for Sam (espically since she struggled through her first round match), supposedly this guarntees a top 16 seeding for the US Open now, now we got to hope she is in Safina's part of the draw :p

A rare day when we have 3 aussies winning Masters 1000/Premier matches :thumbsu:

Didn't Roger Federer have it to?
Wonder if she'll be fit for Us Open was supposed to play Los Angeles. Didn't.
Supposed to play Cincinnati. Didn't.
Supposed to play $100k Bronx. Won't.

And if anyone still cares, Dellacqua aiming to hit the courts in October.

Yep Federer had it at the start of last year. It's a very debilitating virus, Federer had a mild strain and (arguably) it affected him for a good part of the year. Ancic had it and had to sit out for 6 months, poor guy couldn't even get out of bed. So whether or not Dokic will be back really depends on how severe her mono is. But I doubt we'll see a great showing from her for the rest of the year. (She may make a late charge during the indoor hardcourt season.)

And good on Dellacqua! She may be fit and ready for the Australian Open next year. :)

Stosur lost her QF to Dementieva 6-7, 6-1, 6-3. Still another solid week and got a top 16 seeding for the US Open, Sam was broken a few many times. She's onto New Haven next week, although think she still is in doubles in Tornoto

hewitt didnt look 100% against Federer last night. Didnt chase down any balls and bandage on his right knee tells me his knee is not good.

The draw is out for the US Open

Hewitts Draw doesn't look good (what a suprise):
1st Round: Thiago Alves (Rank 106)
2nd Round: Juan Ignacio Chela (Rank 137, but has been 15) or Oscar Hernandez (Rank 83)
3rd Round: Roger Federer (Rank 1)

As much as I would like to keep going, I think it's appropriate to stop there for Lleyton. Tip: 3rd Round exit

Jelena Dokic:
1st Round: Kirsten Flipkens (Rank 92)
2nd Round: Anabel Medina Garriques (Rank 21)
3rd Round: Kim Clijsters (Rank N/A, former World No.1)

Jelena will have trouble in the second round and I doubt she will get past Clijsters and even if she did, Venus would be next. Tip: 2nd Round Exit

Sam Stosur:
1st Round: Ai Sugiyama (Rank 68)
2nd Round: Vania King (Rank 124) or Anastasiya Yakimova (Rank 88)
3rd Round: Daniela Hantuchova (Rank 23)
4th Round: Serena Williams (Rank 2)
Quarter Finals: Vera Zvonareva (Rank 7)
Semi Finals: Venus Williams (Rank 3)

In my opinion, I think Sam will breeze through the first two rounds, then will have a little bit of trouble with Hantuchova but still beat her. I also think Sam could match it with Serena but its hard to see her beating Serena here. If by any chance, in the form Sam's in, she beats Serena, Zvonareva is most likely to be next and I believe if Sam was good enough to beat Serena, she could definitely beat Zvonareva. But I doubt it after then.. Tip: 4th Round Exit

A few Hopman Cup teams are shuffling through:

Australia: Lleyton Hewitt & Sam Stosur
Russia: Igor Andreev & Elena Dementieva
Germany: Sabine Lisick & Phillip Kohlschreiber
UK: Laura Robson & Andy Murray

Good line up so far. USA should play again. Hoping Serbia reappear, will form a very strong team.
Slovakia can comeback right since they're defending champs?

Very strong line-up so far, just what the tournament needs after a few sluggish years.

Murray coming will help out big time, and being partnered with Laura Robson is a huge plus however the oldies at Burswood probably won’t even know who she is.

Unfortunately rumours are that defending champs Slovakia won’t be coming, not exactly sure why. I think Hrbaty has confirmed as much.

Liskcki. :thumbsu: Hopefully a few more big names agree, would like to see Cornet back again.
