Can someone please provide info on this kid.
Apparently his rating has grown in the last month.
I think he is a key forward, and played senior WAFL of late

195 cm forward with a basketball background, widely tipped to be a bolter, especially if he impresses at draft camp (as he is expected to) but could go practically anywhere. Kicked a few bags in the U18s I believe and has played a few WAFL games. Has played ruck too, and quite well, though would ultimately be too small for ruck at AFL level you'd think.

19 yrs old and mature bodied I believe, could possibly make an immediate impact.

There seems to be a lot of confusion in regards to Aaron Black. He did not play in the U/18s (Aaron Black from WEST PERTH did). Black from Peel is too old to play in the 18s carnival, as he turns 19 in november.

Also it states on Peels website that he is 193, not 196cm.

I've seen a couple of his games and he can kick exceptionally well on both feet. Last week he booted a fantastic goal from well outside the 50 under pressure. Plays very smart football. He is quick off the mark and takes good grabs even with defenders right on his hammer.

I am a big fan of this kid and have been following his progress closely, but personally, i hope Brissy pick him up!! :thumbsu:

But Arron Black from Peel played Colts for most of the year?

Any chance Westcoast might take him as a smokie with Pick 7?

I wouldn't rule it out but if we were going to go tall I would expect Butcher to still be available at that pick.

This guy, along with Butcher are the only 2 KP Forwards I would take with the Dogs' first pick. Really, Aaron Black looks like a very skilled forward, being quick on the lead and a good kick.

On the testing he did very well in the jumps, pretty good in the speed, poor in the endurance and woeful in the agility. Tested brilliantly might be a bit of an exaggeration.

Have to agree with Quigley. Bigfooty seems to be hyping Black beyond belief.

Hope he lands at Carlton with Pick #12.

A future forward line of Krezuer, Black, Betts, Yarran and Henderson would be handy!
Black or Carlisle if we go tall.

As I posted in that other thread, Carlisle is just 18 and shot up 22 centimetres in the last 18 months.

I'd be happy with Brad Sheppard if we want a rebounder and a good kick to replace Stevens.

In the hype stakes, Black is still in the blocks whilst Panos has broken the ribbon.

I'm glad to read that. It seems that because there is no vision or much known about him people assume he is the second coming.

taken with any pick after pick 12 would be a steal.

He is 193cm, 78kg and born on the 29/11/90. He didn't play state 18s i dont think as he turns 19 later in the year and his late birth date enabled him to play colts this year. Even though he is 19 at the start of next year i dont think this will hurt his chances of sliding down much. Lewis Jetta will be 21 when the season starts 04/05/89 so having him as a 1st round draft pick would be a wasteful pick
