The move was pre Hawks flag and beofre your now guns would have been on huge coin I would think.

You think

Hawthorn were a team on the rise and played in a couple of finals in 2007.

Duddles is nothing if not a cash bloodhound, I doubt he looked at anything that finished in the 8 that year :D

It was between Melbourne, Carlton, Richmond. Good on Judd for looking after his interests. He does that well.

So neither of us actually know if they could afford him? Let's leave that one then.

Aside from your doubts, why did he site Hawthorn's culture as a reason he did not want to play there?

Who mentioned Collingwood?

Carlton, Richmond, Melbourne were the clubs in contention :D

Never. That is patently wrong in every sense. He chose those four clubs to be interviewed by and it came down to Carlton and Collingwood.

For someone who talks so much about him I thought you'd know this. It was only two years ago.

Once again, get you facts right.

Oh I see.. You dont consider half your side taking dru..."Injunctions", cheating...

Wow you must be proud... Wonder why your spud of a captain retired not long after said injunction?

Like I said earlier it's interesting that he went sniffing around the bottom teams.

Clearly a winning culture was not what he was after.

No ofcourse not, four clubs with a combined total of 58 out of a possible 111 flags at the time is not successful? I'd love to see that Hawthorn success manual.

Give it up mate, you've been wrong numerous times and continue to dig yourself further into the mire.

And clearly Hawthorn's culture was also not to his liking, hence the need for him to state that.

What could it have been?

Winning culture, not enough room in the cap.

Judd went sniffing around the bottom teams, Judd goes to the club with the richest benefactor.

Needs room in the cap. :thumbsu:

Fact or theory? Back ended contracts would have been an option?

Also, I thought we have covered the winning culture idea, and that would not be a deterrent.

So what was it about Hawthorn's 'culture' which made Judd not speak to them. It must have been something big.

Adherence to the salary cap perhaps?
