There are some quite funny posts in this thread.

In defence of opposition supporters, this was all posted following yet another loss to Geelong and not long after a loss to St.Kilda. We then lost to Brisbane the week after.

At this stage, I too was doubting our premiership credentials.


That said, it does seem that when it comes to Collingwood, most people's absolute hatred causes them to distort the situation and their opinions are not made viewing the situation for what it is.


Ultimately, the Magpies have been copping it for a while for our performances in big games. I have always thought that those opinions would come back and bite people in the ass because we were a young developing side.

Yet, it didn't matter what anyone said until we won the premiership. Now we have done that, ultimately we have proven our point. The trick will be going on with it from here and making it back to back

Well at the time we're writing this the Pies have smashed all the sides that we were supposedly deficient against, and we did it with the players that were supposedly incapable of doing it.

Realistically, the best part of winning a premiership is getting to tell a lot of people "You Were Wrong!"

You could probably bump a million similar threads over the past few years...there would be some real corkers.


In reality, people were justified questioning our credentials at the time. Now that we have won...I suppose it is now our right to question the credentials of those posters who were quite clearly WRONG.

This is a case in point. Only a worthless person would make a story about 30 unpaid debts.

I really rejoiced this years win. Quality team. We can only hope that some of that quality rubs off onto the supporter base.
