Don't know what fantasy land your in predicting Carlton vs Essendon will only draw 2000 more then a H/A match when you seem to believe 13000 extra pies fans alone will rock up.

Last time we played finals against the bombers attendances went up 9-20k on the H/A matches.

Maybe if your club had finished first (or even fourth) then you would have been guaranteed a game at the G...

Why are people debating about who plays at Etihad?

There are 3 guaranteed finals at the MCG, with the final game being either at Etihad or ANZ.

All this talk of if Collingwood will play at Etihad is just irrelevant.

Hawks need to win by 60 if Pies win by 30, that's roughly the calculations to get Hawks 2nd.

It's not just the margins but the ratio of points scored v points conceded.

Hawthorn could win by 60 and Geelong lose by 30 and still stay 2nd.

For example:
Geelong 60 v Collingwood 90. Geelong's percentage: 148.490338%
Hawthorn 116 v Gold Coast 56. Hawthorn's percentage 148.462021%

but

Hawthorn 115 v Gold Coast 55. Hawthorn's percentage: 148.492462%

Percentage advantages the more defensive team.
