Right oh, who's coming over??? Get in your cars and make the trip. Leave early Saturday morning and you can drive straight to the game (or take the easy option of flying). If we get enough Melbourne supporters over we could turn this into a "home game" and actually out number the Port supporters!

Yeah i'm not expecting a big crowd at AAMI, it seems the Port supporters and really fed up with the team/coach.
It's amazing the difference in attendance between the Power and Crows.

North by 6 goals, if we lose this I'll be speechless.

Not confident at all.

If we do win, it will be an extremely scrappy 10-15 point win.

I'm waiting for the coach to step forward and for the team to be named.

Serious matters need to be addressed.

There'll be no "moving on" for me.

We either belt them like we should and start getting back on track.........or we lose again. The former would be ideal, the latter would force the club to address serious issues with players/gameplan etc.

I think the worst outcome would be a scrappy 10 or so point win, as it would gloss over another inadequate performance by having "a win".

I'd like to think we can improve sharply with the talent at our disposal, but like TPAndy i'm not that confident either.

I don't care about the margin, I want to see us dominate the contest.

I'd love to see us show some real intent at the footy, not just win clearances and contested possessions, but absolutely dominate them. Four quarters of intense effort, tackling, chasing and spreading.

I want an indication that the boys are embarrased by what they dished up on the weekend.

The North Melbourne of old ALWAYS bounced back when they were under the pump in the media. We were backs to the wall specialists.

Let's see if this crop of players is cut from the same cloth.

I actually think Port will win. They are not going to be a walkover.
We havnt had the best record over there recently.
Wouldnt be at all surprised if we kick ourselves out of it and get done by a late burst to be honest.
The Dogs loss has rocketed the group. Not sure if we are mature enough to adress it and move on in a week.

Port will lose by 10+ goals

Our confidence is shot, our skills are shot, most of our bodies seem to be collapsing around us aswell.

You guys will bounce back don't worry

Jesus H Christ. How can anyone seriously pick against us this week. It's Port Adelaide for crying out loud.

Hmm, I wonder how many tipsters backed Port to beat the Saints in Round 1?

They also gave the Crows and the Bombers a bit of a shake.

Not to mention that plenty of people would have echoed your sentiments against the Scraggers last week.

Personally I reckon we'll win, but thinking we're a chance to lose away to Port is hardly a stretch.

It is a stretch and it's typical of this board to underrate our players and overrate our opposition.

We will bounce back in a big way and it won't even be close.

Anyone that thinks this is a certain win for the Roos must have been asleep, fishing, working or otherwise between 1pm and 4pm last Sunday.

Ie: Anything other than watching the NMFC play the Western Bulldogs.

Gotta confess that this week I'm a hater

... of the doom and gloom, 'lynch the coach' merchants.

In other news, I got some useful things done in the garden on Sunday afternoon after the game. Rage-reducing, and life affirming. ;)

Personally, I had to suck it up and pretend nothing happened for the sake of Mrs M on mother's day. Poor old kids copped the death stare the second they got up to any of their shit, but that just meant they sucked up to their mum even more. Loss-win-win.

Must have done a good job, last night she was incredulous when she saw the result.

On the outside looking in people say we chronically over-rate our players and that is probably right until we get to the point where we lose the faith.

We should beat Port and beat them well. But, we should have beaten Essendon with their injuries, should have beaten the Swans with Goodes and Mumford out, should have smashed GC, should have destroyed the Dogs.

We let the most incompetent forward line going around score 15 goals against us.

I am all for getting in on the circle jerking on our forum, but it is a results based thing. Blind optimism is just being blind to the reality and the reality is we are playing shithaus footy and even the biggest down hill skiing skirt wearing clubs have identified us as soft. You do not get a bigger reality check.

We 'should' bounce back and beat another soft side but we should never have been in this position in the first place. This club wants to play finals, wants to increase the supporter base but year after year we come out and play insipid footy at the start of every year and look to play some dignity saving performances against shit opposition. Has our bar of what we find acceptable been lowered so much?

... and the cat?

I cant believe some are calling this a walkover already after the events of last Sunday. I reckon Port in Port is tougher than WB at our home ground, irrespective of our form.

We have to have one of the poorest interstate records of the Vic clubs (Im not offering any stats here mind you) - we couldn't even beat Brisbane in Brisbane last year when they were the pits. I cant recall the last away win was against Sydney, WCE, Adelaide was. I think we beat Freo back maybe in 2008 but seems a distant memory.

Im tipping what most of us seem to be afraid of, a 10-20 point scrappy win.
