signed last year. don't think any of our younger blokes would go. we've got most of the good ones signed up last year. gumby, jetta and myers are really the only ones who are under 25, not yet contracted and aren't total duds. mark mcveigh is probably the most likely gws target from essendon.

Are you serious? Why are you so worked up about this? It's bizarre.

Anyway, if you think a club is going to turn its back on a really good deal just because it isn't QUITE as good as it could have been, you've got rocks in your head. Seriously. It's just dumb list management. Now, is it a likely scenario (be it Goddard or another player)? No. Is it possible? Absolutely.

Lie to me. Say 'I think under those circumstances Sydney would agree to pay a free agent's club an additional draft pick over and above the contract price to the player, after the free agent conspired with his existing club to force them to do so to get him'.

Or is it only GWS that is supposed to bend over backwards to help clubs that declined to re-sign their good players ?
