1 - 3: Whitfield, Toumpas.

3 - 7: Wines, O'Rourke, Grundy, Viney.

5 - 10: Plowman, Mayes, Macrae, Daniher.

5 - 15: Menzel.

10 - 20: Membrey, Garlett, Jaksch, Kennedy.

15 - 25: Hrovat, Stringer, Vlastuin, Graham, Simpson.

Pick #55: Geelong - Matthew Dick (VIC – Def)

Profile (courtesy of Knightmare): Line breaking defender with some real pace. Can play on either talls or small well. Tackling game very good for a defender. Also capable of stepping into the midfield and playing a role. Ball use fine and performed well at the draft combine.

Geelong could use some pace in the backline.

Eth - your go.

Pick 56: Fremantle - Sam Lowrie

A few forwards in the mix but with Shaw locked in at 16 as a long-term prospect I felt another midfielder to add to the mix that Freo have would work well. Lowrie's a local, and can play both inside and outside, I'd say in a similar nature to David Mundy (although without the height). Considering his ability to work himself to run all day, I think he'll slot into Fremantle's structure nicely and play on-ball a fair bit. Happy to get him...after Carter went.

Pick #57 - West Coast

Dean Kent (WA - Mid)
Height: 180cm, Weight: 81kg, DOB: 24/02/1994
Recruited from: Perth
Style:
Player comparison: Alex Fasolo
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: Very unlucky not to make the WA state squad. Powerful inside ball and is a big time clearance player who shines at stoppages. Inside work is just so effective and can be a serious difference maker with some of his inside work. Kent is a big time accumulator and getting is better as the season goes. Kicking ability very good and has some penetration and hurt factor but is very kick happy. Seems to have some selfishness in his play but that in no way takes away from the quality of his play.

Another strong bodied inside midfielder type from WA. Will fill a need with a few of the older blokes moving on over the next few years.

Demon 16

#58 - Collingwood

Laine Wilkins (WA – Mid/Fwd)
Height: 189cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 30/03/1994
Recruited from:

Style:

Player comparison:

Range: 25-rookie

Profile: Outside running type player who can either play on a wing or up forward but in my view looks better up the ground. Wilkins has sensational pace and freak athleticism with a great leap on him and linebreaking pace. Would have to be in the top five for both pace and leap this year which will intrigue clubs. Ball use good but not great. When he rests forward he can often impact the scoreboard and do some damage but really lacks consistency in his play up forward relying purely on his athleticism to get by. Really exciting player and one of those players who can really turn a game with some of the things he can do but at the same time he seems to really lack substance and consistency. Needs to win more of his ball, find more of it around the ground and when playing forward with his speed needs to greatly improve his tackle numbers. Just needs to add a few more things to his play to go with his athleticism and get more ball more often to really be a consistent player, but with his standout athleticism is sure to get drafted.

Adelaide selects ALIIR ALIIR at Pick 59

AGE: 18
Height: 193 cm
Weight: 82 kg
"Super athletic Ruckman that has elite jumping ability that allows him to leap over opponents. Born in Kenya of Sudanese heritage, his rise to the top has been rapid. Played with the U16 World Team in 2010 & 2011, he then went on to become a pivotal player for Queensland in the 2012 NAB AFL U18 Championships. He also has the ability to play up forward as well as in defence, possesses very strong hands over head and is clean and agile at ground level. Has played 2 games with the Brisbane Lions Academy kicking 2 goals in each."

Pick 60 – Hawthorn Harley Walshe

Knightmare- (Via GWS) -Harley Walshe (VIC – KPD)
Height: 197cm, Weight: 83kg, DOB: 23/02/1994
Recruited from: Western Jets
Style: Nathan Brown
Player comparison:
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: Tall key defender best known for his shutdown game and has had success against many of the better TAC key forwards in Daniher and Membrey demonstrating that he might have something. Nice height for a key defender and has demonstrated good closing speed and ability to play close, accountable football to a high level. Rebounding game can improve but as a shutdown player there is plenty of promise.

Chris25- Harley Walshe (197cm defender - Western Jets)

Most people probably know about the 'big' name KPPs, particularly the Victorian defenders. But Walshe has so far escaped any attention, despite being one of the more interesting prospects in my opinion. Any time you get a key defender at 197cm, you need to stand up and take notice - especially with the number of 200cm forwards coming onto the scene these days. Speaking of which, Walshe got the better of Joe Daniher just a few weeks ago, while he has had similar success against the smaller Tim Membrey.

Jordies reasoning – Ok I thought hard about getting a KPD even at my first pick but thought someone might slide (Mainly Tanner Smith) but he didn’t. Thought more mids were best available at my second pick and luckily between these times Hawthorn also recruited Brian Lake which added to my liking of a second midfielder. But Lake has 2 seasons left in him, and Shoenmakers is not flash imo. So here is Harley Walshe, I nice tall KPD, has taken the scalps of Daniher and Membrey so seems like good value at pick 60 imo. And will be given the required time to develop over the two years Lake is playing at the Hawks.

Pick 61 - Sydney -Mason Wood.
Excellent name. Should be friends with Tanner Smith.
KM had him going at Sydney's previous pick, so he's slid a bit. Can hit the goals a bit and is a good overager with a lot of endurance. Skinny, but the great thing with being the Swans is you can actually develop 190cm stick athletes; he'll be wating in the wings for a bit as he improves his game.
Adds some genuine run to the Swans going forward and has that goal sense to impact games. Having gone KPP with the previous picks to shore up their aging backline, this kid looks a goodun.

Pick 33 - Carlton

Spencer White 195cm 92kg KPF

Spencer goes to my school and I have has the pleasure to witness first hand what he can really do. Whilst I understand this I s a bold statement to make, he reminds me a lot of Lance Franklin. He competes well over head but is almost unstoppable at when the ball hits the deck. Spence will provide Carlton with another tall target and can play round 1, 2013.

He tested really well at the combine; I think coming top 3 in the vertical/running vertical jumps. This allows him to be a very effective relief ruckmen as many teams opt playing two big men.

My biggest highlight of Spence was when he was representing school at a student exchange match. After copping shit for missing a relatively easy shot, the big boy comes back with 3 goals in 3 minutes all from obscure angles. Best of all, he proceeds to start a good old melee.

Although I estimate him to go in the 50's, I simply wouldn't forgive myself i passed on him, and he wasn't at my next live pick. The guy is a beast!

Just want to remind everyone I called this ;);)

GWS Pick #62: Tullio DeMattias
184cm; 72kgs; from Norwood
Outside mid/half-forward player with plenty of pace and solid skills. Can really run and carry the ball well and could really break the lines and hurt the opposition with his speed. Has the ability to have an impact on games with only a few touches. Has had a few injuries in the past but I don't think they were too severe. I think he could be a handy player running down a wing for the Giants.

GC Pick #63: Andrew Boston
180cm; 75kg's from Broadbeach

Very happy to get him this late. May end up a Qld zone selection for the Suns in any case so drafting him makes sense. From Broadbeach he is a duel sided player who likes to get forward and snag a goal or two. Boston is a good on field leader and having played 2 years at senior level in the NEAFL will be right to play football next year.

Pick 64 - Melbourne: Matthew McDonough (SA - Fwd)
Height: 180cm, Weight: 85g, DOB: 26/01/1994
Recruited from: Woodville West Torrens
Style:
Player comparison: Jason Porplyzia
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: Forward who is physically very strongly built and ready to produce. Has already shown that he can kick big goal hauls and his production throughout his career up to this stage has been sensational. Really like his kicking, very duel sided and has that great goal sense and some nice penetration. Good finisher around goal and excellent from set shot attempts. The real highlight in McDonough’s game is his marking ability, very strong contested mark, 1v1 mark and on the lead. Despite his primary feature being his marking game McDonough is also very good at ground level and is very capable as a crumber, getting to the right positions for the bigs to bring to ground and to his advantage. Where McDonough falls short is his lack of athleticism. Speed not great and endurance a long way off where it needs to get to. As a forward also needs to work on his tackling game but with his lack of pace I doubt it will ever be a feature of his game. If he wants a career at AFL level he probably needs to develop his ability through the midfield more to go with his play in the forward half. Might be an interesting potential late draft bargain if he slides because he certainly has the proven production to back up his case.

Sorry guys, didn't see that I was tagged at all.

#65 Western Bulldogs - Anthony Tipungwuti (NT – Fwd/Def)
Height: 174cm, Weight: 72kg, DOB: 22/04/1993
Recruited from: Gippsland Power
Style:
Player comparison:
Range: 50-rookie
Profile: Really special player. Has sensational pace and enjoys taking opposition players on like few others can. Really evasive and can create time easily. Duel sided. Good skill set. Not a tall lad, but gee he can play! Still needs to build an endurance base but that will come. Can play back or forward and has a Leon Davis type feel to his game that makes him exciting regardless of where he plays.

pick 66: Port Adelaide

-Harley Walshe (VIC – KPD)
Height: 197cm, Weight: 83kg, DOB: 23/02/1994
Recruited from: Western Jets

Oooops my bad. We need an updated front page.

Pick 66:

Alex Howson (WA – KPF/KPD)
Height: 195cm, Weight: 90kg, DOB: 25/05/1994
Recruited from: East Fremantle
Style:
Player comparison:
Range: 35-rookie
Profile: Has played much of the season as a key forward in WA and performed to a high standard kicking multiple goals in most games and then came into the U18 champs and really impressed as a key defender. As a key defender Howson showed some nice shutdown ability and used the ball well coming out of defence. As a forward while a noted goalkicker the defensive side to his game is really lacking and he just doesn’t tackle or provide any pressure.
