I agree. But I think he'll be fine as he got a bit of practice this year with Tippetts injuries.
The 3 games he played when Tippett missed were..
-Geelong at Simmonds where he kicked 0.3. But to be fair it was his first game back from 3 week suspension and it was wet and windy.
-Essendon at AAMI where he kicked 4.0
-And Freo at AAMI where he kicked 4.2

Seems promising. I actually think he'll thrive being the main man down there...

Perhaps you should re read the post. My statement that neither club came of smelling if roses related to the whole process.

If you want to go over ground that's been covered ad nauseam fine. My personal opinion of tippett is entirely irrelevant. I think he and his role are overrated. You won a flag with Pyke and we can cover him with jenkins or mckernan. That's how i see it.

But here's the thing....neither your club or my club share that opinion. Your club is happy to make him one of the highest paid in the afl. They see him as very valuable. Independent recruiters valued him as 1 x early or 2x later first round picks.

That said, what is becoming clear, is that we would have taken 23 alone. What you cant seem to get your head around is that white did not add value to the package. It detracted. He is on an inflated salary which you wanted to off load. We did not need him from a list viewpoint, and we certainly did not need his salary.

So he was clearly worth more than 23 + a fine.

Just remember my post was a positive discussion about reid. You chose to turn it into a tired, circular debate that will never find resolution.

We see him, in a trade, as worth pick 23 + White. You guys keep saying the same thing - that if we are paying him such and such in wages then we must think he is worth what you want in a trade. We think he is worth what we offered. Seems kind of obvious.
