Bad call. Mick himself has stated that he and the club will be approaching season '13 with a "defense-first" attitude. I think we showed in 2011 for a majority of the season that we are well and truly capable of applying a good press and pressure on the ball carrier. We were up there with the best in the competition but that fell away dramatically in 2012 obviously. With a healthy list and one of the best coaches at the helm, I think we will find a good balance and rediscover some of that pressure that made us a hard side to knock off in '11.

Tom made a real impact when he came into the senior side in the back end of the season, but I feel that some are getting a little ahead of themselves with regards to his prospects heading forward. I don't believe him to be in our best 22 but he is a very good option to have in the reserves.

If I were to guess, he'll play 10 games in 2013.

If he can adapt his coaching to the strength of the playing group (which is run and carry) and the players can also adapt to a defensive mindset when required it will make a shitload of difference.We know he's gonna park at least 2 talls forward, we know our defence isn't settled, we also know we have a few forwards that can play mid which in my thinking should allow us to play both wide and centered depending on opportunity due to gut running.Forward mids to push wider creating choices and talls being more central and uncluttered..of course want crumbers. If Mick completely adopts "the wide game" im gonna go nuts ,gonna question how the **** he got his wife pregnant when he doesn't know what the opportunities in the middle are.But for now, I'm gonnna give Mick a bit of credit for his intellectual capacity and believe he will work with the playing group both offensively and defensively and get the best out of this group..GC/BC

Good call...though he also needs to improve his goal kicking first and foremost IMO.

The Tractor will be finally mostly free of injury and will sometimes single handedly bulldoze through opposition midfields... GCBC

My worry with the Tractor is that it appears he wasn't looked after last year (knee problems) due to coaching staff being in survival mode. This will affect him this year. gc/bc
