St Kilda Match Reviews by a Sainter!

Hey there fellow Sainters,

I'm Jake and I've recently started filming my own match reviews of each St Kilda game. I started my own YouTube channel last year and it has over 2,000 subscribers and it's focused on AFL and EPL, I'd absolutely love for all of you to go and check out my St Kilda reviews and possibly subscribe as I'll be doing them all year long. Some supporters on here don't like the thought of Kozi being anything more than depth at this point, because either he's past it already or he's hogging a place in the team that should go to a young, developing player.

If they do play him I hope he takes Hickey's place, as he doesn't have the versatility or forward presence that Kozi does. Also would be great to get him to 200.

I think if you are able to attend and are in a good position, would be great if you could say, as you're talking, include relevant clips of the game that you've filmed. Obviously if you've got a shit seat or that's not practical, don't worry about it. See if you can trim the reviews down to 4 or 5 minutes though.

I will definitely consider that. The only problem I need to overcome is whether the AFL will say that I've breached copyright laws in relation to filming parts of an actual game. I think I have a way of getting around it though

I doubt the AFL will care - they generally have bigger fish to fry. Look at the number of small sites that scrape stats and live scores etc.

Thanks Yeah that's true, plus I see a million videos on YouTube from phones etc of the last 5 minutes of big games, so I doubt, especially in the way I'm using the footage, they'll try to stop me. Again, thanks!

What's the harm in posting a video each week reviewing a Saints game? Surely that's allowed. I won't advertise myself but it's more or less a post about the game, just a video.

Happy for you to post your videos - as I've stated privately to you but the admin here are understandably reticent about diverting traffic away from this board and in order to be even handed do not encourage the promotion of other sites in the manner you have but will allow you to put links to your blogs / Facebook pages in your signature then when you refer to something in your blog the link is always there for people to choose. (Sorry for lack of punctuation but on phone at work)

Add to that, there's a fine line between friendly promotion, and spamming. You need to just pick the most appropriate thread rather than starting a thread, then add it to the media thread, then add it to the match thread, then add it to the main board, etc.

Having the same content in multiple threads can get a bit annoying and might discourage people from watching the content (which I assume isn't what you'd want).

I'm liking your videos. Only thing is I can kind of suggest is you gush a little about certain players when they're going good and you lose track of what youre saying a little. Also I think your camera needs to be white balanced or need more light cause youre looking pretty yellow.
