Massive bellchambers fan, just starting to come into his prime. Becoming a goal scoring ruckman. I'd think he could command a mid-late 1st rounder unfortunately.

Griffen has done is ACL, his value would be down, but he wont play till after the bye next year.
I think I'll leave the ruckman debate alone until the end of the year. Lobbe could surprise us in the back half with sole duties. He will also be far more important next year with the 80 rotations.

Big call but I'm tipping Blitz to absolutely rip the comp a new one next year with the capped rotations.

I'd trade Hartlett and a pick for Warnock. I'd also trade Butcher and a pick for Bellchambers.

I'm probably worse than Rhode.

Based on those trades, yes I believe you are :) - particularly the first one.

Sometimes needs come first

So firstly, confirm you were suggesting Hamish Hartlett plus a pick for Robert Warnock, a 26 year old with 64 games under his belt. You don't think this is overpaying by just one or two truckloads ?

I don't know if you've noticed, but every year there seem to be one or two rucks available at trade, and they usually cost around the pick thirty mark. We may have lucked out with Renouf the year we went to the table, but what makes you value Warnock so much higher than a late 20's/early 30's pick ? .... or do you just not rate Hartlett.

Anyone know why Mitch Wallis hasn't been playing for the Bulldogs?
His contract status?

Rate him fairly highly and I recall Port putting in the only first round bid for him in the Father-son in 2010.

Would we consider dids? in and out of side doesn't look to be in collingwoods future with development of martin etc. Or even Christian Howard?

We need more rucks, badly. My mentioning of Hartlett as trade bait was hyperbole to get discussion happening on what we are really ready to give up for a decent ruck.

Personally, I think we missed our opportunity in getting bellchambers for cheap. Weren't Essendon keen on Moore in 2011? Back then Bellchambers wasn't getting a game ahead of Hille and Ryder and Moore was still struggling through OP...

While trading for an established ruck will probably happen, at some point we need to bite the bullet and actually draft and develop a ruckman.
