It was horrible. I had to resort to suicide by molotov. I've never felt more alone than when I was in that room.

We were on the other side of the door, was hilarious. I was in the process of msging Alex to not kill us and come see you before you decided to top yourself lol.

Yeah, I could see you guys. I tried to shoot and punch my way through, but to no avail :(. Molotov suicide isn't fun.

Space of 2 matches killed Igloo with bat 5-6 times.

I don't understand how you ALWAYS have one. You had one with scissors in it after opening the very first loot box. God damn bullshit, I tells ya.

****en hell, private games are fun, public games are fun. This MP is just too damn fun!

Killing it myself stats wise too, 308 Parts Per Min (effectively Score per min), which is in the top 20k of players with 9.5 hours under my belt so far and going at a healthy 1.34 K/D. My best scoring game was also 5695 which is 10 better than the next best score on my friends list and more than 800 better than the next one after that.

I didn't think I had too much investment left in competitive MP games anymore, but this has proven that it just takes getting the formula right (and little to no lag on my end either) to bring back the fun times.

Everything about the game just suits me to a tee. Tactical, perfect pace, on the fly thinking. And you can attack multiple enemies and know if you're good enough you have a way to kill them all.

And I haven't even played Survivor mode yet, although I don't know if that one suits my style as much.

Yeah we lost it when we thought one of you guys had killed themselves by accident.

Good times, thought I was burnt out after BO2, but quality games pull you back.

Haven't finished the single player of TLOU yet but these two are leagues ahead of pretty much everything else this gen for mine

Survivor mode is as tactical, only having one life per round and different box locations. Survivor mode is the only one I play online now really.

Because I always play solo for me its all about getting to as many boxes as I can, early game. Crafting items. Then setting up for either offence or defence depending on what the enemy are doing.

At least you didn't get stuck in a roadblock.:(

Was that when you were screaming "i'm stuck in the wall!"? :p.

At least you didn't have to commit suicide for it! haha.

We lost it when you killed yourself. Gold!

It had to be done :(. That room was scary, and we knew you guys would be coming to kill us. lol.
I didn't think about you guys seeing it, haha. That would have been funny.

I just don't really like the idea of only having one life.

I'm one of those players that will sacrifice myself to try and flank and take out a few enemies as long as I can pull their attention away/nail a few, etc. Where as with that mode the motivation to do that would be lessened as it's more about yourself than the team.

I just don't like the finality of it.

I'm probably somewhat of the opposite view. I think the finality of having 1 life per round means that you have to think about the decisions you make because you don't get to spawn again in that round to help your team mates out.

It's interesting also because I think it's both team and individual orientated. You have to work as a team to win - make sure you revive each other, plant defensive bombs behind you etc. Sometimes you may even have to sacrifice yourself by drawing enemy fire or flanking. But when your team fails and you're the only one left you have to deploy individual based strategies. So the duality of the mode is really quite interesting.

Of the two modes I've seen a lot better team game-play and strategy deployed in survivors than in the 20:20 TDM. In the 20:20 people think that because there are so many lives to be used up its ok to run around solo etc. In survivors you quickly come to the realisation that you'll win more games and be more successful if you stick together as a team.

It does sound bad to some only having one life but remember the supply boxes are in different places making game-play perfect IMO.

I totally get what you're getting at. But at the same time, it's just something I am not fond of the idea because it turns those elements of risk into situations of stupidity.

Basically, if I know I have a life to spare and can come back, I can take the calculated risk to run in and try and take out 3 or 4 enemies and/or help distract them for my teammates to take them out. If I die, all that's lost is one life, conversely I could've knocked a considerable amount off of their teams tickets by doing what I did. So it's one of those low risk, high reward type moments.

In survivor, I go in and do that and fail and I have to sit and watch for however long is left. Not only that, but I probably look and feel like an idiot because I so carelessly wasted my one and only life and feel like I've let the team down in doing so.

I love the calculated risk factor in a game like this. Knowing that if I choose to go out on a run and attempt a flank, I could die, but I could take out 2-4 of them as well. But if I do die, I haven't really punished the team a whole lot in doing that.

If I look at that situation when playing Survivor, knowing I only have one life, I'm probably not going to run in and take that risk.

I'm going to jump in about 8pm WA time

anyone planning to be on?

Do i need to select something particular to play with you guys? (haven't looked at MP yet)

Just a can do attitude and the courage to take your own life if you're backed into the corner of a room.
