Giants only have to trade #48 for Lamb because they have #1 in the PSD. Otherwise he would coast more.
The deal works because Sydney get an ok pick, and Giants keep their PSD pick open.

I'd think that Sydney would rather get Pick #51 from Carlton as opposed to losing another player to your cross town rival for #48.

Pick 33 looks like it is going to Brisbane for Docherty.

It will be intereresting what happens with Everitt. The hypothetical you raise is a good one. I feel that a trade of pick 39 or 35 and Everitt for pick 32 would be a terrific trade for Carlton.

I suspect we'd have to give something small up on top of that but it depends on how desperate the parties are to deal.

Piecing the details from a few different reports, it seems we hadn't offered Everitt a contract up until yesterday when Jed Lamb decided to go to GWS which freed up money for Everitt.

Grimlock, whats the Swans outlook on Membrey now you have Buddy. Half expected him to want to come home now you have 3 bigs in your forward line. Would like Membrey in our forward line. He played well in your seconds in their finals campaign I believe.

To help out the Swans if they do have problems with the salary cap, I am happy to help them out more by taking Reid off the books which will free up much more cash for them. Just looking out for the best interests of them and the competition, we would not want another club to be in trouble with the AFL due to salary issues with Tippett.
