It is about time DOC gets done. He has been out of control on here.
Hang on, you're referring to Doc of the Sam Docherty type, not the Devoid of Caring type, aren't you?
Ooops, wrong thread
GWS will be picking up Lamb in the PSD so we only have to worry about WCE then.![]()
So what do you want for him? (Not sure we need him, so if its more than a 3rd rounder....leave him for West Coast)If you guys want Everitt, and let's not debate the reasons why right now, you'll have to trade something for him or otherwise GWS or West Coast will take him in the PSD.
Clubs are happy to trade cheap unless its with Carlton - #48 for Lamb, younger, more upside and yet a higher pick for Everitt, older and fewer years remaining??!! Naturally
Pick #51 sounds fair

We won't be using anything greater than #48, and even that's a bit unsure. So I guess the only possible trade would be upgrading our 39 or 35 to your 32/33?
Laidler? Wouldnt demand a big salary....and theres no interest elsewhere.Pick 33 looks like it is going to Brisbane for Docherty.
It will be intereresting what happens with Everitt. The hypothetical you raise is a good one. I feel that a trade of pick 39 or 35 and Everitt for pick 32 would be a terrific trade for Carlton.
I suspect we'd have to give something small up on top of that but it depends on how desperate the parties are to deal.
Grim do you guys have to free up some cap space or not ??We won't be using anything greater than #48, and even that's a bit unsure. So I guess the only possible trade would be upgrading our 39 or 35 to your 32/33?

Might be a determining factor and weaken your position if it is in fact the case.
Ok so that would suggest that there is some squeeze going on and Lamb wanting out may just save Everitt unless he wants more opportunity.Piecing the details from a few different reports, it seems we hadn't offered Everitt a contract up until yesterday when Jed Lamb decided to go to GWS which freed up money for Everitt.

To help out the Swans if they do have problems with the salary cap, I am happy to help them out more by taking Reid off the books which will free up much more cash for them. Just looking out for the best interests of them and the competition, we would not want another club to be in trouble with the AFL due to salary issues with Tippett.Grim do you guys have to free up some cap space or not ??
