Don't troll for the sake of trolling. Its tiresome.
People need to realise we have serious threads on here for genuine discussions. Not everything needs to be about trolling or bantering.

Your post was actually humourous for once, so I'm not sure why bonce deleted itIt was a joke.
The Jet has several times made posts about naming award, you suggested re-naming awards. No trolling. No bantering.

Probably the same reason I've deleted multiple other posts relating to The Jet. The guy is trying, baiting him in other threads and drawing him in isn't humourous.Your post was actually humourous for once, so I'm not sure why bonce deleted it![]()
No.Because I'm essentially posting the same as last season but people follow trends around here and the trend at the minute is to bag the shit out of me
The cool group don't like you any more?Because I'm essentially posting the same as last season but people follow trends around here and the trend at the minute is to bag the shit out of me

Unfortunately most on here weren't particularly active when I was at my most active.Apparently not.
Anyway back on to topic you would be a worthy recipient as well for the HoF

I'd like to think my love for Eth and the Demons is well known, but IMO, he would be way down the pecking order for nominations. Sure, he's an amazing poster, an amazing contributor to this league, and a likeable guy, but he hasn't even played 100 games. And tbh, the Demons had strong posters before he became captain. HoF noms should be given to legends of this league, posters who have been around for yonks (like everyone in there atm). As much as I'm supposed to dislike him being a Collingwood supporter (check out the Winty Award on our team board), I'd nominate winty.

boncer34 plz. beez possibly but Juggs? I thought you said no trolling. Whilst he was a captain this does not immediately lead to a nom for hoF. The guy is a loose cannon and has brought the game into disrepute almost more than Probey. His above post is evidence of his complete unsuitability to any leadership/role model role within the league.
Anyhoooo I would like to nominate ClarkeM

Surely posters like FR and TFLUA Tiger go before ljp and boncer?
This is a bit of a joke.
. He is a Mobbenfuhrer Medallist and has heavily contributed to the SFA for many seasons and became one of the few antagonists in the SFA that people actually liked and respected which is a fair thing to achieve in a competition like this. Not to mention the numerous individual and team awards that he has won over the seasons and his own statistical performance on the field which stacks up with the best of them. The counter argument is the VFL had the good sense not to give these awards names until someone deserving came along. None of John Coleman, Chas Brownlow, Norm Smith, Leigh Matthews played in the comp's first ten seasons. My argument for not renaming medals stems from a comparison with real leagues. I usually mention the most prestigious individual AFL medal - the Brownlow Medal. While Brownlow may have been some awesome player, he's not mentioned in the same breath as Skilton, Bunton, etc. Yet no-one talks about renaming the Brownlow. That's kindah my argument in a nutshell.
.
No offense to bonce, but the Hawks were in a better position before he joined than they were in after he left. Not his fault at all, but you're being very generous with that comment. This is just another reason why people think you're a flog.
boncer34 has given his heart and soul to this competition for many years. He helped build a club, rebuilt another... .

The fact that the SFA has done so is simply a reflection on either admins on an ego-boosting power trip or the masses naming things for naming's sake.
Some would argue there's no problem. I would contend that there are potentially more deserving posters, particularly for awards named before the move of the competition toward activity. The problem being? I can't wait for them to name 2nd place in the EKA after me.
The converse is to agree on the league's best identity alltold and then change every single award to only reflect that one person. Revisionism is a cancer. Some would argue there's no problem. I would contend that there are potentially more deserving posters, particularly for awards named before the move of the competition toward activity.
Actually he already is rated amongst the best ever due to the parade of qualifications already clearly denoted earlier in this thread. You are somewhat correct in that the passion behind such posts as that the which you have quoted only add to ljp's folio of input quality. Not everything has to be a match thread post - and it's not as if he doesn't carry his weight there, either. People will be remembered for seasons for what they did in match threads, but they'll be remembered forever by what they did outside them. This is your problem Ljp86 if you were as passionate about posting in match threads as you are when you have a crack at me you'd be rated among the best ever.
