End of the year work parties

I got mine tonight, This will be the first year I have attended (being a new job). Will take it very easy tonight = No drinks.

Just wondering what stories we can get from this. I know some of you have got too drunk and made a fall of yourself. Please share

Like you, mine will be pretty boring. We have the family one this weekend and then a big dinner one the week after. I'm going to drive there so there isn't much chance of me overindulging. I'd almost rather not go to be honest but it's good to show your face and be seen as a team player. I always try to separate work and personal life.

Its funny you say that. driving into work today I was trying to think of a way out of it. I get to work and the boss says to me " How are you getting there tonight, You can drive to mine and we will go from there ."

A company I worked for about 8 years ago use to have massive christmas parties, the CEO got carried out blind drunk two years in a row. We were working for a large ASX listed company as well

was at a job where the xmas party was on a thursday night, cheaper night to hire the venue i guess... friday was effectively a write off/free day a work... show up whenever you want, do work if you feel like it, do a post party sesh at the local pub in the arvo

Office next door had theirs last Thursday, then had the alcohol and drug testers turn up Friday morning.

Generally dislike them but attend in the interest of free booze and food. My work is a smallish family owned company (~15 employees) and they shell out for everything. Food, beer, wine, entertainment/accomodatin, the lot.

The wife works for a school, and you have to pay for everything at them. Paying upwards of $50 for food and drinks, and then having to sit there listening to teacher talk isn't fun. And it's tonight, when I've got a sparkling new GT6 sitting on my kitchen table at home waiting to be played.

Our managing director sent us all an email this morning basically saying no one get too far out of line. Drug and alcohol policies etc. Last year we went pretty wild.

As soon as I saw the email, my mate at work forwarded it to me with a picture from step brothers - "We're here to **** shit up!"

Going straight into a bucks party tomorrow.

My first one i watched our state manager (who is married with 3 kids) finger blast his EA down a laneway off Clarendon st, it was violent and scary, also saw one of my mates making out with an accounts girl (he had a GF who he is still with) suffice to say that was enough to make me reign it in at work functions forever.

State manager? Yeh bro, he is going no where. Earlier this year he jammed his hand down the receptionists pants at a work function (small one just people from his specific area and it was kept very hush hush, i was pretty good mates with her) and it was NOT wanted at all by her. She got 4 weeks paid leave, then a 15k pa raise, worked there for another 6 months before taking off on a European vacay on his dime. There was alot of other stuff that went down but the dude just doesn't care in the slightest. I hate him because he is an asshat but i respect his lack of f**ks given.

He would be on 250k+ a year, does all the hiring (hence picks hot birds for EA's and reception) no one can answer what he actually does in the company, his wife is gorgeous and insanely nice and he bangs whoever he wants and spends most Fridays from about 11am getting hammered with clients and winds up doing blow with strippers. I hate him because i want to be him.

I miss mine this year due to having something on the same weekend.

Ours are usually great, all victorian stores attending, everyone gets wasted. We have got told to reign it in this year after numerous incidents last year, such as a couple getting arrested outside, a drinking from your shoe contest, and the standard back alley/disabled toilet sex.
