Most of those posts were jokes, but Sam Shaw squibbed like a champ at one point in the third quarter. Was running back with the flight of the ball, looked up, saw Geelong players approaching and stopped in his tracks, leaving him out of position which meant that he dropped the mark (as opposed to Polec being in the right position to take the mark but having it slip through his fingers, which happens 4 or 5 times a game). Crows supporter King Elvis agrees that Shaw heard footsteps

I was at the game so wouldn't have had a perfect view of it unlike on TV. But show me some video evidence and I'll agree - unlike some people I can actually admit when one of my players stuffs up instead of defending an obvious pissweak attempt.

It looks worse when players hesitate and then lose the contest. Or turn the ball over on attack and are all out of position to defend.

Thank goodness we have about 5 players out of contract at the end of year.

Anyway. You guys did play well and showed us who doesn't have ticker for AFL. A lot of fans already knew. But hopefully the staff can see it plain as day.

Only a few of your blokes deserve to keep their possie in the side --- Reilly, Sloane, Smith, Jaensch, Douglas, Kerridge & Talia. A cameo from Betts wasn't enough, dangerfraud squibbing it was embarrassing for you jokers, Jacobs doesn't have the engine to go all day with Lobbe, your tall forwards were useless, your small backs were useless, Rutten is now too slow, too old, Porplyzia provided zero run from the subs bench, unlike what Matty White provided for us & what Broadbent did last round, Shaw aint good enough, Grigg thinks the game goes over 10 minutes & Thompson thinks he's some kind of Neil Balme or Carl Ditterich with the tough stuff.
