I've gone with the cats. No good reason other than I think they'll want it more and unlike us, believe they can beat the Hawks.

Tipped the Hawks but I'm barracking for Geelong.

Anything that puts a dent in Hawthorn's aura of invincibility is good by me.

Totally selfish of me but I'm hoping for a blow out either way. So over hearing about how wonderful these two teams are. Actually, I am so over these two teams, full stop, but I think that is my inner jealousy speaking.

I'm going for Geelong in a tight one. Still lol'd at Hamish McIntosh shanking it on the siren though.

I know where you're coming from, but my desire to witness another awesome finish today outweighs that.

Not that I wouldn't take great delight in seeing either team get flogged.

Well that was the biggest lie ever "When Stevie J goes down there's a sense of pride and he gets back up straight away" - Hamish

Pretty sure Stevie J rolls around on the ground for another 5 mins as if he just got shot.

We match up better against Geelong plus I reckon we hate them more.

But still they are making it look so easy. Hope Ross is watching

How is it that we can beat Geelong but not Hawthorn?
Was thinking the same thing. geelong seem to focus on manning up rather than zones that we do. This seems to allow hawthorn less time to get their kicking/chipping it around working so they turn it over more.

With the zone at the wider mcg we give them too much space and with them not doing big kicks but the little chips they don't need much time and therefore not much space. Man on man at the g, and zone at subiaco.

Really glad we get to play these two team twice this year. Hopefully we can get our injuries and suspensions in order.

How is it that we can beat Geelong but not Hawthorn?
Easy. Geelong like to play on from half back which plays into the hands of Lyon's system whereas Hawthorn control the ball via uncontested chains of kicks and marks.

If you slapped Melbourne and WB jumpers on these players nobody would be frothing over this game, actually pretty ordinary so far.

Is it just me or is the intensity way down on our match against the Swans?
