It's actually a really difficult question to answer. The most talented small forwards are more often than not pushed up into the midfield, Ablett is clearly the most talented player of his generation, but only really developed that talent in the midfield. So the best answer to that question, in my opinion, is that the best small forward is probably a midfielder.I don't deal in insinuation. I was merely asking a question and I was hoping wise people like yourself, armed with nothing more than goal averages, could set my inquisitive mind to rest.
