Hird wants to clear his name and that of the EFC. If he truly knows/believes that EFC players did not take anything banned then I am all for him fighting until the end.

No I don't. I think it's a massive beat up that was let loose by a flailing Labor government desperate to take the focus off their shambles of a mining tax. The majority of the football media ran with it and continue to run with it because it's "the gift that keeps on giving". I also believe the Ziggy report was conceived, written and performed at the behest of the AFL in order to justify the harshest penalties in the history of the sport. In the last 18+ months I have not seen one piece of hard evidence that hangs us for doping.

Pretty much every club in the afl has a shitty reputation for one reason or another especially on bigfooty.

I have had people who know very little about the situation tell me essendon are a disgrace big ******* deal. 90% of the time its because we are a rival club and the actual issue doesnt really bother them.

Same with Hird, the hate directed at him by most of the people is simply coz they have actually heard of him and because he was a great player that played for a rival club. Most could not give **** or dont even know what he actually did. Hell, the most common response I get to what he did wrong is he is arrogant and injected the players.

How much hate would have been directed at our senior coach in this situation if his name didn't happen to be James Hird?

What was the quantity of injections? What made that number significant? To what are you comparing it? What is inherently wrong with injections?

What is inherently wrong with changing biology? I would have thought that by definition that would be the very purpose of a supplements program of any description, magnitude or type.

I am of the opinion that had Asada or the AFL found anything this whole investigation would have been wrapt up 12 months ago. The fact that this is still not over has me leaning towards them having nothing.
I'd like to think the SCN's are a fishing expedition.
