It's called employment, my life isn't devoted to BigFooty...

Hird's been feeding Warner and Robinson stories for months.

If you seriously can't see how all signs point to Hird leaking this, then you're beyond help.
SO you want to focus on who leaked it.. not whether it is true? And if it is true then it doesn't bother you?

Want to tell me again why it only matters if Hird took these supplements? Cause it seems like you don't give a crap that EVERY single other member of the footy department was doing the same thing..

Wow didn't take Caro long. So she is now 100% confident that she has 'got her man' in Hird.. and what do we see the next day:
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-still-pointing-fingers-20141003-10q4pf.html

To Quote some of the nice bits:
Thompson's unpredictable behaviour as the latest Essendon crisis became feverish must be of concern to both the Bombers and the Gold Coast.

The Cats maintain their faith in his coaching ability but not his equilibrium on a day-to-day basis. Certainly not towards the end of his time there when the two parties fell out of love. It is not being harsh to say Thompson failed as Hird's mentor because he was brought back into the Essendon fold at his own urging to help the rookie coach and yet was a senior member of that experimental cowboy environment and could not control it.

Everyone is entitled to a change of heart but there have to be question marks over the full turbulent Thompson package which thrived at Kardinia Park under the guidance of one of the most respected off-field club teams in the AFL.

Even allowing that Thompson became carried away by the cultish nature of his club and the emotion of the Crichton Medal count, it seems inexplicable that he would tell Hird just hours before the Crichton Medal count that he supported his decision to lodge his appeal and then proceed to chop him off at the knees by applying for his job before the Essendon faithful.

Thompson's double standards, laid bare during Gary Ablett's final season when it was revealed that he too had been negotiating and in fact plotting with another club, emerged again when he expressed keen interest in the Gold Coast coaching role before the contracted Guy McKenna had been sacked.

As they say in this game, Thompson is a strange cat.

But yeah.. let's get rid of Hird.. that will stop Caro in her tracks..

Seriously deluded.. I can promise you.. she will just attack Thompson with the same force.. and we will be back to square one. We either stick fat with Hird or they BOTH go.

Thanks for being so predictable Caro.

Who didn't see this crap coming?

We are money in the bank for this gutter trawler.

Well apparently all the people who jumped on the 'lets appoint Thompson' bandwagon didn't see this coming..

Once she finishes with Hird.. she will just start on the next target.. be it Little or Thompson.. heck maybe even Campbell now.. who knows.

But we either stick fat for ALL.. or we burn it down and start again.. anything other than that will see this go on forever.

This is not Hirds fault.. this is the media. It will not end Mr Little just because you sack Hird. Sit up and take notice. It will not end with Hirds sacking, despite what the AFL must be promising....

So you are telling me that we should bow to the AFL's wishes despite:-

i) The players want Hird
ii) The majority of the members want Hird
iii) The AFL had their chance to remove Hird in 2013, but instead suspended him and then publicly announced that he would be "welcomed back" after his suspension was served.

The AFL might not like Hird, but if they want to remove him they should do it themselves and that is it. Otherwise the AFL should NOT influence our own decision making process more so than the existing playing group and the members.

The AFL subtly not allowing someone into the fold is akin to a indefinite suspension - I dont ever remember the AFL welcoming Hird back into the fold - Gil has been asked on more than one occasion and has said no comment.

I doubt that a majority of members support Hird - And its the board that makes appointments.

No surprise behind the Capmbell story - But let the club and its individuals burn to protect Hird.
I actually don't think it was Hird..

I think we are just starting to see some of the 'lessor' stories get a run now.. and who knows if it a Thompson supporter leaking to make Hird look bad.. or to put pressure on Campbell.. heck we have no idea..

Seems the club has more than one leak.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Hird who leaked the 'Hird has been sacked' story...

I have no doubt it was the AFL - But the pressure is unrelenting.

I am yet to be convinced that ASADA will or can action the SCN's, whist there is an an appeal to the Federal Court.
Well I think we need to wait until Thursday.. to see when the appeal would be heard..

However it doesn't really count for much..

ASADA issued Dank a SCN notice in JUNE.. he is still waiting for his ADRVP.

There is absolutely NOTHING to suggest that ASADA is in a hurry.. they are probably grateful for the appeal.. gives them longer to try and wrangle a 'deal' out of one of the players...

ASADA don't actually need to re-issue the show cause notices either by the way.. in legal terms. They could be proceeding right now if they truly wanted to.. but they don't seem in a hurry to get this in front of a tribunal...

Sorry I thought you were indicating you believed Hird leaked the 'Campbell' story..

Anyway it doesn't matter.. you are correct.. it is unrelenting.. and I think it is actually uncontrollable now.. it is a self sustaining shit storm.. no half ass decision.. will solve it..

Deals won't solve it.. 'exit strategy sacking plans' won't solve it.. Thompson won't solve it.. Hird won't solve it.. the AFL won't solve it..

Players continuing to tune it out is the only way... make it a non issue.

NOthing to say about Caro's latest Ogg Cat?

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-still-pointing-fingers-20141003-10q4pf.html

Still think Thompson will be universally loved and admired once Caro fires up??

We know that Hird can handle the heat.. can Bomber?? I wonder if we would even be having this conversation if she had been writing these kinds of articles all year..

How long before Thompson has a 'cult'...? How long before she starts in on Thompsons previous relationship with Robinson.. and by association Dank??

I wonder how many articles Caro will need to write before Thompson feels 'burnt out'... and leaves..

As I said on Wednesday..and many many times over the past 15 months.. a lot of people owe Hird a HUGE thank you.. for taking all the spotlight.. and all that womans rage.. day after day after day..

My first concern after hearing the news Wednesday (and I posted as such) was "who does she go after next"... and it seems she has given us a glimpse.

Caro has come out swinging because she was wrong with the timing of Hird's exit - Though Rines posted that Hird is gone - I take that as gospel.

I don't know if you're joking or not - but I actually agree with this 100%.

Look at Singapore for an example of this concept working well.

Singapore works beautifully - And these poor souls protesting in Hong Kong - They have no idea !

A) This screams a Hird leak.

B) Simon Goodwin would be the prime candidate.

This screams an AFL leak - To continue the pressure to sack Hird.

You are cleverly sidestepping my question - ASADA's legal advice could be that they put the Show Cause notices on hold till the result of the Federal Court Appeal - It doesn't make sense to offer deals etc, in the off-chance that Hird succeeds - Where would that leave ASADA ? - I suggest that could leave ASADA in a world of pain - And then if Hird's Federal Court appeal fails the players have to go through the process and they could be forced to miss chunks of the season.

There is no valid reason for Hird to appeal to the Federal Court - Then again his house is run by loonies.

IMO, the only way this will end early is if the players take a deal. There is still a long way to go if they fight.

So if they are fighting, back Hird
