Is pick 35 fair for lumumba? I'd prefer there second round pick at 23 of course. But it seems pick 35 isn't enough and 23 may be a touch overs... Hard to place his value
H and 28 for 23 and 35 would be better.

They did a big CONFIRMED announcement. Usually that particular page only does when something's official. Having said that, I haven't seen it posted on th afl website yet
Exactly. We need to see something official at this stage. Reckon it's a real chance but I'm not wanting to jump the gun. Already made that mistake once today!

Or, we keep Redden and 5 this year, along with bringing in Greenwood. Then we go all out for Danger next year as a free agent.

Start the 2016 season with Pendles, Sidebottom, Danger, Redden, Greenwood, Adams, Freeman all rolling trough the middle.

... well I can dream, can't I?
Don't forget Scharenberg is back!!

Hypothetically, if Brisbane were to trade us Redden and Pick 5. Would you be happy to then trade Redden, pick 5 and one of Kennedy(The last resort if they don't like the other 4)/Thomas/Brown/Keefe/Sinclair for Dangerfield? and would they accept it?
I rate Danger on the same level as Beams, though Danger does have that ability to break a game open. If we're trading for Dangerfield, I'd hope we'd only ontrade what Brisbane trade for Beams and give Adelaide a 2nd round pick at the absolute maximum. We would be getting ripped off badly, if we had to give up Kennedy, Brown, Keeffe. I'd hope they'd accept it!! It would help if Danger nominated us too :P

Think that Beams is a jet but for us Danger is the better player. He will provide us some explosion from the contest in a midfield full of similar paced players.

If you lined them up to pick just on the player, without the above in mind, you are probably correct. I would go the extra yard to get him because of what he will bring to our team compared to Beams.

just for those who just pop in and post.....

say it with me folks;

you can't on-trade players!

oh Hallelujah!

Correct.

However, you can have as part of the deal a player go from team A to team B to satisfy team C.

In the unlikely scenario that there is a Danger deal- Aish to Crows from Brisbane/ pick 5 to Crows from Pies, on traded from Lions/ Danger to Pies/ Beams to Lions.

yes i understand a 3+ way trade.

Forget Dangerfield we will have to throw our hat into the ring next year when he becomes a free agent.Adelaide will not trade Dangerfield.
Brisbane need to cough up quick pick 5 now and either Redden or Aish otherwise Beams comes off the table end of business this Friday.Geeting either can give us enormous trading power come seasons enbd for danger both are from Adelaide so are kennedy broomy and Grundy
Levi Greenwood has requested to be traded to Collingwood.Collingwood have offered a three year deal better than norfs and Bullies.
We should get Melbournes pick 23 now for Lumumba since Melbourne have pick 2 and 3

I just remember Greening and remembered his season when he came back. Imagine if that happened now... Jimmy O'Dea would never have played again. Im used to the Pies getting rid of players i am attached too (hence my nickname which is half ironic) but there is always someone to replace them. I just hope Pendles who i think is our greatest ever player (my opinion many disagree) finishes his career with us.
Silly comment...Pendles NOt be in our TOP TEN.....Len Thompson, Peter Moore, Peter Daicos, Gavin Brown, Albert Collier, Gordon Coventry, Bob Rose, John Greening, Mick McGuane, Nathan Buckley, Phil Carman, Peter McKenna, ....just to name a few.....Pendles is very good but not a "GREAT" imo

Collingwood have offered Levi a 4 year deal.

Pick 5 + one of Redden, Aish, Mayes is what we are after, 100% wont get Hanley.

He is better then Browny and McGuane for a start, Greening as good as he was in his time is also below him imo only played a few years vs Pendles whole career.

Agree, very silly comment. I also rate Swan significantly higher than Pendlebury at his best.

If Dangerfield wants out it is no different to us with beams. They will look to trade him if he doesn't want to be there, but only for the right deal.

Is there anything we can do to try and get Jono O'Rourke to Collingwood as part of the Beams trade? For instance, would a trade like this be fair to all parties:

Brisbane get: Beams
GWS get: Pick 25 (from Brisbane) and Pick 29 (from Collingwood)
Collingwood get: Pick 5, Jono O'Rourke and Pick 42 (from Brisbane)

There has been talk about O'Rourke heading to Hawthorn for Pick 19. I think the above would be a better trade for GWS though, assuming of course O'Rourke would be interested in a trade to Collingwood.

This would throw a spanner in the works in respect of the Greenwood trade, but I would prefer a young gun former Pick 2 who has been blooded but struggled to establish himself in a team full of young guns over a twenty-five year old player who has one really good year. We could of course attempt to orchestrate a three way trade with North Melbourne and Melbourne where Lamumba goes to Melbourne, the necessary pick goes to North and Greenwood goes to Collingwood. If Melbourne think their second rounder (which North would expect for Greenwood) is too much for Lamumba we could consider throwing our third rounder their way to get the deal over the line.

These two trades would mean the following for Collingwood:

Give: Beams, Lamumba, Pick 29 (perhaps Pick 46 if necessary)
Get: Pick 5, O'Rourke, Greenwood, Pick 42

I hope Hine-doggy and RendallMAN pull out their 10 inch BBC's and go hard on that bastard offspring of the two worst clubs in AFL/VFL history (yep University included).

I headed over to see what the flip flop wearing red necks thought of the trade and I cringed. Worse than Carltons board.

It's just about the way you think of it. They are exactly the same in the way of who goes where.
No, because at no time do we "own" the third player, therefore the decision is not ours, that rests with his home club and the destination club. We have no control over it.
With an on-traded player we get to make the decision

They are not the same
