And now that the players will be dealt with, the interesting question becomes "what sanctions will the EFC receive for organised doping?", given that so far they have only been sanctioned for poor governance. You'd think all coaches and officials should get lengthy bans, but what about the club itself? 2-3 years more exclusion from the draft (with no sweetheart deals this time), and a $5m fine maybe?

Hand over the 1993 premiership.

This is warning to the AFL and players that failure to impose reasonable penalties will mean an appeal to CAS.

Basically those taking a deal WILL get a holiday for the first "few" weeks of the season ala Cronulla.

ASADA will appeal to CAS any penalty imposed by the tribunal that is not substantially greater than this.

I'm thinking back dated to June + 12 months.

Plus two or more "deals" or penalties means the club is then subject to sanctions imposed by the AFL, you think Gillion will want Hird's head on a plate? Remembering that doping was specifically excluded for the governance issue.

Nah **** them, give any player that wants to fight the charges the full 2 year when they are found guilty, and dont back date them at all. Let the players then sue the club. The club then fold. Then no need for additional sanctions to *, when the club is already dead. Eveybody wins.

Squirt Essendon with BBQ sauce, and let your avatar have at them.

At the moment every day is like Christmas Eve, you know something good is about to happen and you dont want to wait, however you know the waiting is part of the fun.

why would you want them the club to fold?

Because no matter how bad they go after all this, sometime within the next 30 years time they will be competitive again. Better dead. Its the only way. Imagine them after winning a flag, "you tried to kill this club but **** you everyone, we're better than you. And you never proved we did shit 30 years ago either, it was a conspiracy against up". I'll kill myself if I had to put up with that shit from those arrogant campaigners. Kill them all the way back to suburban football.
