Yep my jazz are smashing it. Watch us beat the warriors today

Bucks can get stuffed. Players dont respect him. Love the guy but he isnt the coach we ne need. Bring in quin snyder

Time for bucks to be moved on at end of season. He is not up to end if story.

He mad excuses saying it was a 6 day break etc..

He has turned a list that played off in 2 grand finals into a basket case in 3 years .

Hang on did he actually say that??

I have been nothing, but complimentary towards Buckley's media performances, but that is ludicrous! These guys have played 2 matches in 3 weeks and some 2 in 4 weeks. If he's seriously running with that in pre-season he's lost it...

I hope Bucks stays true to his words by picking two-way forwards that kick goals and defenders that can hit a target helping our transition game.

Not to mention, with this new coaching accreditation, we have a list of 9 to choose from. AFL says who we can have, since I'm assuming you need the level 4 otherwise there's no point bringing it in

But. If we are talking young coaches, Stewart dew seems to be the most likely recognised as the next "gun" young coach.

I'd rather go the experienced route if we move on Buckley, but if not it has to be between Dew or Nicks.

I'd prefer Nicks though. He was with Longmire at the beginning and is now Hinkley's 2IC so has a fantastic grounding in system based footy.

Team aside, have any of the 2010 players improved or have they gone backwards or plateaued under the current coaches?

Personally, I can only see Sidebottom as the only one that has improved. Swan only declined to injury or age. But the rest? Toovey? Blair? Goldsack? Cloke? Brown?

I reckon you can use that as a yardstick to see the overall picture of what has been happening the last few years.
Did they want to improve when the coach that got them to the holy grail left. What was left to be acheived? Why should they now respect this other guy that's turfed out what took them to number 1?

Generally in a player's career you can see signs of improvement, but since 5 seasons ago it's painful to see that most of our younger players since then have either plateaued or gone backwards - especially in terms of skill and decision making. Many of the Hawks premiership players are better now than they were a few years ago, or even since 2008 - is it coaching that is responsible for this? I don't know. Is it luck that Hodge and Mitchell are able to play in their 30s with lengthy injuries but we can't do that with Ball, Tarrant, Maxwell etc...? It's all just an observation, but it is curious.

Sidebottom is the only genuine one from that era who has stepped up and also probably MacAffer is a better player now than 5 years ago. Pendlebury is exempt because he operates on a different level to most players, but the rest....

He keeps selecting Goldsack for some reason and all he does is tackle. That's it, that's all he does.

Well Goldsack is in the Leadership Groupo_O

Doesn't mean he has to play. He can do plenty of leading in the other 165 hours in the week. For the 3 hours that we play football, he should be in the grandstands.

Like last year when Keeffe started the year in the VFL last season

He shouldn't be exempt Pendles has an area he should be working on and that is becoming a goal kicking threat.

He really should be kicking more goals then he does.

I wonder if Clarkson is ready for a new challenge? he is contracted till 2016 so it may fit in well.

Would be akin to bringing Malthouse into the club after the un-shaw years, Clarkson to pies after got Buckley's years.

The other I would of loved to see happen was Chocco Williams unfortunately due to his health that may not be viable.

You left out Tooves, Blair, and fish Sinker

I went to the game, not for a result but for the chance to see what we have been working on all summer and what we can expect to do in terms of ball movement, transition, hitting targets, decision making and defending an opposition. It's fair to say all of the above on exposure have failed miserably.

It's the same old stuff. We cannot kick in to any free teammates. Every team we have played in the Nab Challenge has been able to hit targets via kick in. We simply always kick long to a contest. Rubbish.

We cannot defend kick ins. The opposition slice us up with free targets at will.

Our ball movement is laborious and slow. There's no creativity, we don't use the corridor anywhere near enough and it's predictable. Too many guys are too slow of mind or poor kicks of the footy when the ball is in their hands.

We still get caught up on "contested footy". The most dangerous area on the ground is the outside. Win this area and you control and ultimately win the game. The Dogs obliterated us in this area. They always outnumbered us on the outside. Even when we got first hands on it, all our guys are within a 1m of each other. We were boxed in, with nowhere to go.

The Dogs' players were always moving, hitting every contest on the move. Be it in attack or when defending out inside 50s, they were always moving making it harder to be tackled. Our movement is static, flat footed and no tackle seems to stick. When they do, we allow our opposition to always be able to release the ball out via handball.

How many times can we do loopy handballs to players who are under pressure?

Why do we persist by not playing our best forwards, actually forward? Elliott is our best small forward. He is a weapon and he is now spending too much time on ball. This is seen as the next step in his evolution but the reality is, his form and output will suffer individually and team. The boy is capable of being a 50 goal a year player. He, Fasolo, Broomhead, Karnezis and De Goey need to be our small/medium forwards. No more Blair or Goldsack who have no influence on the scoreboard or via assists. It's laughable having forwards who cannot score.

Cloke must be getting frustrated and rightfully so. The guy works his ass off and the delivery is not even park standard let alone league standard. Always over his head, wide, at his feet or on top of his head outnumbered. We have the best power forward in the comp and we cannot hit him or create space for him.

Our defence is the worst in the league. Brown and Langdon aside, the rest are not up to it. Williams and Sinclair could be but Toovey is no longer best 22- he is a shadow of the player he once was and Ramsay is lost at sea. Kicking skills from this mob are atrocious. How can you ever hope to be the "best transition side in the comp" when this group of players is kicking the footy? Bucks, please, turn it up.

There have been no improvements thus far and overall it seems like we are still going backwards. The results are irrelevant, it's the way we are doing things.

I'm all for playing Kennedy, Broomhead, Freeman, Scharenberg etc with regularity at the expense of guys like Blair, Toovey, Goldsack, Frost, Crisp etc. If we are going backwards we may as well improve the kids and young guns.

Having Sinclair taking the Kick out was Idiotic

I'd like to see Eddie come out and actually say the pressure is on Bucks. If he does have the support of the players they'll get behind him and play for him. It just won't happen though because they simply aren't. A good coach could get the players to rally.

In Bucks' press conferences I'm sick of smug looks like it's just a breeze. He needs to say what we are doing wrong and make players accountable! Name names!

The club has to get rid of eddie before bucks gets the sack

It's not just him, it's all of them. They never make the right decision or a savvy enough to hit a target even if the opponent is within a metre of them. all the good sides, will hit that target, irrespective if there is a player "in the vicinity". It opens up the play.

Our guys play scared "safe" footy. Which pretty much means, you could field any player with no league experience to do what they are doing out there. Laughable.
