Josh Jenkins for James Aish?

Jarryd Lyons for Schoenmaker and play him as a forward?

Would need to recruit a fwd/ruck to help Jacobs out. Unless Dear or O'Brien become best 22 this year. It's a good trade though. I think they would expect a pick as well.

Our defense is an issue but there is a lot we can do. Siggins and Lever aren't developed enough and I feel that Cheney, Shaw and Otten are 3rd tall defenders rather than what we need. Hartigan and Talia need to perform and stay fit or we are in trouble. I feel in the off season we need to bring someone older to fill the gap while Lever piles on the kgs. If St Kilda didn't offer Fisher a contract last season he would have been perfect.

Aish would be great, but to be honest we need to be throwing the farm at an experienced defender. The last two weeks show us that of all areas of the ground, this is where we lack the most. Hartigan needs someone chopping out like a Josh Gibson type. Would have loved to have gotten Frawley, we need someone like that.
I would go after a Hombsh or Jonas. Both pretty hard and tough backman. We need one of that type.

Not sure if serious.

its the best feasible scenario I can see happening, a lot of season to go under the bridge yet...

"tipping" it makes it sound like I think its the most likely thing that could happen which isn't the case, but I certainly think its within the realms of possibility.

You do realize he is taller than Cheney? And a better defender yeah?

He is 1cm taller and 1 kilo lighter.

Replacing Cheney for Jonas is a sideways move. It doesn't weaken or improve us. May as well talk about bringing in Tom Logan for Brodie Martin.

Cheney is 186 and Jonas 188. Jonas is better than Cheney and I would take him over him any day.
Where did you see that? There is a lot of variations from different sources/site re his height. Safe to say it's somewhere between 186-188cm.

Andy Otten is 194cm then. Problem solved.
Unfortunately thats the thing. We have the guys. They are off the park. Shaw long term rehab and Siggins needs another deep run in Sanfl. All in the 190's range that we are in need of to cover the three pronged tall attacks.

Why? A dumb optimist view is just as dumb as a dumb pessimist view

Well, purely for balancing purposes. Why bother just having the dumb pessimist view ;)

His contract until 2017 would make his price a bit restrictive.
Bugger, I look at their list more than others for possible trades. There's a couple of others as well there over 190. Justin Clarke from Brisbane another.

Tim Mohr could be a better option. Has one year remaining on his contract but may struggle to get back into the side if their backline settles this year.
I like him too! Mature Age but is in rehab from ACL. So could be cheap.
