On weekends games, Port received a scare against Lions, being a few goals down at half time but really choked Lions after the break 6-6 to 7 straight behinds. Lions just needed some scoreboard pressure. Have they lost Adam Gross with serious injury? After years of struggling, they have a good shot at making finals this season. Port look to be the benchmark team so far. With some players back their reserves also had a good win over a plucky Cities.

Saints had a great second half to easily beat norths. Unfortunately Norths were not only missing their Darwin imports but also at least 5 good regulars. Saints were missing a couple also looking at the team sheet, but norths just missing some depth with saints also winning the reserves easily. A full strength Norths team will worry a few teams, like lions a few weeks back.

Souths beat Centrals by a surprising margin. Although I think Souths are right up there with The top teams. They played Port and Saints both away in the first two rounds but they seem to have settled now. With Centrals reserves almost beating the undefeated cutters, the Trinity beach club look to have finals in both grades possible.

We're there any injuries from the weekends games? Besides sunburn!

Centrals haven't played anyone of the top teams so I don't know where the hype of being great came from , they usually start off ok only to fall into a heap of Sh-t.
Centrals reserves blew a huge lead or they choked. Souths reserves came home with a full sail .

Lions look they may be the real dark horse of the comp this yr , we will know more after this weekends round against Souths ( will they take it to them and give them a surprise or fall away in the 3rd )

Um, Centrals are the only team to beat Port this season, at Port, which was a fair effort, so to say they havent played anyone yet is a bit harsh.

Any thoughts of rep team selections. Personally think Koch from norths a bit unlucky, he has been playing good footy.
Walsh and Smith up forward will be worth watching .
Will be some great talent on display.

No one from Norths deserves a spot, even if there was a reserves side they still shouldn't get a spot.

Cutters looked good a few weeks back against the Tigers

I'm up this weekend and thinking of going to the Bulldogs home game as I'll be in trinity. Worth watching?

Not if we play like we have the past month.

At least you can park the car around the ground like down south.

Norths was s**t again, it wasn't that the Bulldogs were outstanding it was just that they couldn't kick to a target, wouldn't back each other up and didn't play as a team.
The umpiring was atrocious towards both sides, a lot of high tackles were let go and it was wet weather and they let a lot of marks go.

Souths v PD yesterday , Crocs jumped out with a 3 goal lead 1st qtr before Souths woke up, game, all over by end of qtr , barr the near all in brawl later in game. Souths were too good , Crocs did try a come back to no avail.
Reports ------
Port 3 players (1 for toiletting on the ground)
Souths Nil.

Saw the saints-lions game. Showery weather made the ball slippery at times all day. In the 2nds, saints were never headed, with lions playing a few of the Masters players. In both grades, lions seemed to be missing a few players.
In the A grade, Saints held a 4 goal lead at 1/4 time and increased their lead every quarter. Lions kicked themselves out of it early missing some gettable shots and not being able to put any score board pressure on Saints. Over 100 point win but saints did play well and to compound this, lions didn't play near what they're capable of. Will make a good match this weekend - port v saints at port, with port winning the last round only 1 month ago. Short rounds with no Manunda and normally a bye during the round. saints looked to have had a few players out this week but with the midweek rep game most sides might've been down a few.

The Souths/port game would've been a cracker. Almost same scoring shots but 18-5 by Souths is very accurate kicking. After a slow start to season, Souths seem to be hitting their straps. Big wins over trinity beach and port - only a good side can do that.
With lions dropping off a bit it seems like the top 4 are settled for a while (2 games clear also). But from the top 4, it seems pretty even where anyone can beat anyone. Interesting season.
Lions/Centrals this week, lions won last time but if they don't win again this time, they'll have to make up 2+games on the top4 over the last half of the year.

Interesting movement on the clearance page 18/5/15, Flinstone you still involved with Manunda senior club? Know what's happening here?

Watched Souths dismantle Norths on the weekend and can't believe how much the Tigers have dropped off. Souths are a very good side and the scoreline suggests there is a big gap in the comp. All in all it's good to see an even competition without Saints dominating the way they have in past seasons. Makes for an interesting 2016 with Manunda being reintroduced into the comp. Anyone heard any whispers if any or all players will return to the Hawks nest?

We were terrible, even in the past three games we've dropped right off.

We don't seem to have a working forward line, our centre structure is worse than an under 13's squad. The club itself seems to be in good shape, it's just the on field side we're falling down on.

Who is he Poiderr?

Don't know, just bemused why someone is transferring to a team that not in this years comp. o_O

McKee from Port received 11 Weeks last night I hear. Fair enough after his actions on the weekend, thought it would be 10 weeks at least. Well done to the AFL Cairns tribunal for not accepting this behaviour.

Watched the Saints V's South game and South were better and stronger over the ball in the wet. The dry would suit saints more.
I see Lucas Ellich is still the same GERM he always was. He will get 2 weeks for the punch he threw on saints player if on camera.
