I personally wouldn't get it as I wouldn't use it. I've never been into all that novelty stuff you can sometimes get with pre-orders.

Yeah it is quite too pricey at the moment, but I got a feeling I'll regret it as when I see all the toy bobbleheads and other stuff with previous preorders, I wish I had them.
Like you said though, I'll probably be like "ohh this is sweet" then a few weeks later I won't even care much about it.
I think I still have the platinum chip and book from NV, but the cards seem to have disappeared.

If i thought it would look good on my book shelf i would think about it. Im far from against colecters Ed's i have them for Games and movies. Pick up my Batmobile Ed nextweek.

But just dont think this is one for me. Ill be fine with the base game or some other edition with some other bonus. Surprised by the lack of DLC in the Pip boy.

For those of us with brains we could always go to Bunnings and buy some plastic, a can of spray paint, velcro, and some gaffer tape; cut that shit up into the shape of a PipBoy with a slot for your phone and voila, you've saved $100.

Nothing, It's a glorified smartphone case.

You put your phone in and get the app and it will apparently integrate with the game and let you do bits and pieces , dunno why people are getting so upset it's no different to the crap you get with any other ce, it's just something fun and will prob get more use than the new Vegas poker chips.

I'm so glad it's in November, semester 2 finishes late October so I can have long sessions with this (and my homemade pipboy).

Anyone complaining about the graphics after watching the E3 Presentation needs to be dragged out the back and shot/beaten down with a cinderblock.

Also regarding the pip boy, the developer themselves said it was just CE Junk and that you won't be able to do anything extra compared to not having it. I'll be sticking to having the app on my phone next to my keyboard I reckon. (Also allowing me to keep the phone plugged into a charger with no auto screen lock for hours)

They dont look amazing, it looks like what you can expect from a modified last gen engine, which is what its running on. Like it wont look like Doom which is running on a new engine. It will look good but it wont be a game people use to demo graphics on. Im expecting 30FPS and 1080 on PS4 and 900 on X1 when it ships.

Thing is it doesn't look bad whatsoever. The gameplay they showed was aesthetically pleasing and only the most diehard graphics expert will actually care when they're playing it.

Anyone expecting anything ground breaking hasn't played a fallout game. Fallout is not about the graphics.
