Forget De Goey, Crisp > Beams

Greenwood is the one that will give us the 28 touches a week at the coal face like Beams is getting

Then both De Goey and Crisp are free steak knives :p

Not in talent or skill.

But the difference is we have a player who wants to be out there now, we have a player who cares.

I neglected it so much when Beams was kicking goals for us, but his nonchalance was really annoying.

Crisp was fantastic again , where would he be in BnF standings ? off the the top of my head he'd almost be second.

Behind Pendles and Adams for sure, Varcoe and Cloke making ground this month or so. Nathan Brown up there as well.

I'd have him third but it's easy to see him as high as second and as low as, say 6th?

If you're not with us, you're against us. Thanks for the memories Dayne, but you leaving could yet be the best thing you did for the club.

Crisp has arguably played his 2 best games v Fremantle and Hawthorn. De Goey arguably his best game tonight. We are instantly a better side with those 2 in it, Beams is already a distant memory.
Sure we have lost 2 heartbreakers in the last 8 days. Rewind to last year, we were smashed by both of them. We're on the up, our time is coming

1. Varcoe
2. Pendlebury
3. Williams
4. Adams
5. Crisp
6. Cloke
7. Brown

Crisp is such an exciting prospect, hes every chance of performing at a JPK 2012 level of football once hes in his prime years.

De Goey excites me alot, similer to how Grundy and Langdon made me feel, hes got something about him.

Greenwood im not sure about, see how he goes I guess

Beams who???Lumumba who???Wash your mouth out with soap!!!!De goey will be a superstar, with his ability, his application, and his mentors, sky is the limit.Beams was good, but if bris were to ask for straight swap with crisp,it would be a resoundin No!!!Who could hav imagined degoey/crisp/varcoe to hav such an impact.Im as passionate about our pies as a person can be(thats not a challange peoples)but I totally disagree with careys statement,"you CANT hav two honourable losses in a row".I HATE losing but not alot to complain about with our last two weeks.

P.s Except jesse white of course. But after readin that we were the "most accurate goal kicking team",we werent gona "pull the wool"over the footy gods heads for much longer.

P.p.s And for those that think fyfe is the best player in the comp,SCOTT PENDLEBURY SAYS HI:cool:

I usually find breathing helps. :p

I seriously love watching Crisp play. He's well on his way to being an A-grader and it's scary to think he's only 21 years of age.

People won't admit it now but I doubt anyone expected anything of Crisp during the off-season and just hoped he would be the icing on the cake somewhat in the Beams trade as most paid their attention to De Goey and Greenwood when the trade occurred so his form has been a pleasant surprise and remarkable to say the least.

I suspect he might be second in the B&F count behind Pendles at the present time. He's been the recruit of the year in the whole competition in my opinion.

I think most will readily admit it.
Im pretty sure I posted multiple times that Crisp would be lucky to get a spot in the 22 based on how little he played at Brisbane. Our recruiting guys clearly picked a gem by getting him as the steak knives in this deal. (basically for our 3rd round pick, i think).

Amazingly he has scored a goal in 10 of our 13 games this year - which is great for a midfielder who's primary role seems to be as a run-with player.
---

But lets not exagerate. Crisp on his own is clearly not better than Beams. Thats not to devalue Crisp, but we have to acknowledge that last year most of us would have listed Beams as a top 5-10 midfielder in the comp... Crisp isn't quite that good.
