I'd love for him to debut. I'll be at the gameDale Miller @miller_dj 3m3 minutes ago
No sign of Sam Butler on the track for @WestCoastEagles. Otherwise looking a very fit, healthy squad
Wouldn't be surprised if we play Barrass down back.

I think Simpson said that he is confident that Barrass could play if required. I took that to mean that he will only come in if one of Gov or Schofield are injured.
.
Barrass will have to play soon as we have Collingwood ( three tall forwards ) followed by Sydney who might have Buddy / Tippett / Reid playing forward .... good luck to Mcgovern and Schofield .
If our defence ain't broke, why fix it?
Would like to see more of the opportunist part and less of the crumbling part please. The only change we should make us to get Scooter out of the side completely, give Hutch a full game, and bring in The Doug if Butler is not available.
By the way, Hills role according to the club is to play as more of an opportunist/crumbling forward amongst the talls, which Simpson mentioned earlier in the year as to why the kept McInnes in the side. Hill could of easily kicked 4 last week but just had an off night. I'd leave him there at the moment.

I would be very nervous if Barrass came in, not because I doubt him as a player but because we seem to have stumbled upon a defensive setup that from all accounts is undersized, but it just works.

Hill has got some credits in the bank. Saying that Duggan would be as effective as a permanent forward is laughable.
Because we haven't played too many sides with very tall forward lines.I would be very nervous if Barrass came in, not because I doubt him as a player but because we seem to have stumbled upon a defensive setup that from all accounts is undersized, but it just works.

Butler unlikely. Which mean Duggo straight back into the side probably.
I'd rather use Sheppard on a banana like Jesse White. He has been playing very well on talls + White is all kinds of crap. Elliot might be too smart for him.
Not sure who i'd have on Elliot actually. Hurn? Or Sharron?
the only way to beat hawks is to play them the Hawks style. Essendon do that in patches and they did beat hawks once. its just so hard cuz hawks are so smart and experienced they adjust quick specially now when their focus level is 10/10 and they have a reason to beat us to take over the top 2 spot. i cant wait for that game.Watched the Hawks destroy the Purple People yesterday and their movement of the ball from defense into the corridor really reminded me of our new game plan.
It is easy to see, and was maybe an exercise that Simpson has had to deal with in the past with Hawthorn having years of winning with an undersized defense.
Western Bulldogs defense seems to come out of the same song book. Beverage was also involved with coaching the defense at Hawthorn.
Really stands out if you watch closely. Eastern Wood, McGovern and Lake all play a similar role as well.
We should all donate 40 cents and get schoey to cork cloke. Apart from that match up we are ok
