I actually think Aish will be a good get for the pies.

That's my point. He's no better than the rest, yet gets heralded as "Scoop" and people say he's brilliant with his mail.Same as anyone who Reports on Trade Week

I get what you are saying, every club has hits and misses, they got 2 first rounders our pick and a on traded one from mark Williams deal, Burgoyne had ?? Over his knees. At the time it was a risk/ reward thing and we come out on top. Probably a silly comment on my behalf naming Fyfe I mean we took beau Dowler at 6 in 05 (Ryder 7) and Mitch Thorp at 6 in 06 (Selwood 7). So we defiantly haven't always hit on our picks! So pick 20 on its own would have been a fair deal, right? Because they could have drafted Fyfe with that pick.
Maybe in 2010, you should have traded out one of your better players for pick 40. Because you could still have drafted Luke Parker. That would have made it a good deal, right?
Maybe in 2001, you should have traded out one of your better players for pick 58. Because you could still have drafted Dane Swan. That would have been a good deal, right?
Or maybe in 2000, you should have traded out one of your better players for the 28th pick in the rookie draft. Because you could still have drafted Dean Cox. So that would have been a good deal, right?
Bearing all that in mind, how about trading Jack Gunston for pick 20 this year? You never know. You might be able to draft the next Nat Fyfe. And that would make it a fair deal, right?
Sometimes there are good players available later in the draft. That's a fact. It doesn't turn a shitty deal into a good one.
Let's keep it real. Hawks used their leverage to push through a good deal. Good for them. Brisbane will now try to do the same with Suckling.I get what you are saying, every club has hits and misses, they got 2 first rounders our pick and a on traded one from mark Williams deal, Burgoyne had ?? Burgoyne wanted to come to Hawthorn, he wanted his kids to grow up in Melbourne, and he wanted to play with Cyril, having a connection with Clarkson helped, but it wasn't a easy deal to complete, port didn't back down from wanting 2 first rounders and that's what they got. The only leverage we had was Burgoyne nominated Hawthorn,Let's keep it real. Hawks used their leverage to push through a good deal. Good for them. Brisbane will now try to do the same with Suckling.
Yeah. That's massive leverage. It meant Port had to deal with the Hawks only.Burgoyne wanted to come to Hawthorn, he wanted his kids to grow up in Melbourne, and he wanted to play with Cyril, having a connection with Clarkson helped, but it wasn't a easy deal to complete, port didn't back down from wanting 2 first rounders and that's what they got. Essendon came along and were stupid enough to absorb some of Port's pain.If we couldn't get the other pick it wouldn't have happened! We simply met ports demands.
I call it tanking.Have heard Lachie Henderson has told Carlton he is requesting a trade at the end of the season. Interesting part is that the club has decided that since he wants out he won't play the remaining 3 games of the season.
Wonder if we will see more of it in the future.
According to Sam McClure...
Aish to Collingwood for their first round pick in 2016
While Pies first round pick this year part of Treloar deal.
I could tolerate Stevo until he started showing up to Mick's pressers with ridiculous oversized novelty microphones and that glistening chocolate mousse of a haircut.
The Rising Star nonsense over Stringer last year was pretty annoying too.
I'm pretty sure other Vivtorian clubs were circling and it's not like we had leverage to pick him up in the psd! 2 1st round picks is was fair considering his injury concerns, Essendon giving us a first rounder for Williams on the other hand was just stupid on their part. In all honesty the deal could have gone either way, burgs could have broke down and port might have drafted better! That's trading, but by no means was it a unfair trade! If free agency was around thenYeah. That's massive leverage. It meant Port had to deal with the Hawks only.

Hawks gave up pick 9 and Mark Williams, who played four more games. Pretty sweet deal.
They would have got pick 9 alone rather than 9&16I'm pretty sure other Vivtorian clubs were circling and it's not like we had leverage to pick him up in the psd! 2 1st round picks is was fair considering his injury concerns, Essendon giving us a first rounder for Williams on the other hand was just stupid on their part. Solid statistics burn.I'd like to think that he's reliable, but not valid.
That is, his information is consistently wrong.
Rumor has it SOS worked his magic on Aish and he will nominate the Blues. Logically Collingwood would be an unlikely destination if they have their hearts set on Treloar. Remember the club can't trade away this and next years first round picks if they're not receiving one back.
Wherever Collingwood finish. So if you trade for another club's first pick for the following year, you'll be hoping like hell they have a rubbish year.Quick clarification on the future 1st rounders thing, does that mean Brisbane get two 1st rounders in a row, or is it wherever Collingwood finish in 2016 (Say they finish 8th so Brisbane get pick 11)?
He is a massive flog, pretty sure he posts or at least reads BF as well. Can't stand the fact he is on MMM during games as a pundit, the guy has NFI about footy.
My challenge to you "Sweet Jesus", if you choose to accept it, is to write a post not containing your favourite word leverage. I know you can do it!Let's keep it real. Hawks used their leverage to push through a good deal. Good for them. Brisbane will now try to do the same with Suckling.
