Wrinkles just said both the Adelaide reserves and Port reserves should be exempt from playing SANFL finals. WTF!.

I'd say Glenelg should be exempt from playing finals, but being a shit club already takes care of that problem.

Integrity is not just about Coaches and players. It also about the supporters and sponsors who want to see the best possible game. It should be a fight to the death with the best team standing at the end of the year. If that means managing player work load and training schedules so they do not burn out so be it, that is part of good coaching.

The fact that some supporters see no problem with resting 20 of the best players in the AFL because the Coaches cannot better mange players beggars belief. For once I cannot argue against the Crows situation and if we were in the same position I would be moaning too. My problem with the media is they moan when the Crows game is affected but not when the Power game is affected.

I am probably in a minority but two weeks ago I was looking forward to today's game as I thought we had a chance of beating Fremantle at full strength. I guess i want to win something that is worth wining rather than some sham of a game.

As I posted previously many of us pay a Membership to see 11 games of dinkum footy not 10 games and a farce. The integrity of the game is not just about Coaches and Players. Full marks to Ken Hinkley for speaking up over night and questioning whether Lyon and Scott's actions had compromised the game's integrity.

The thing i find the funniest about the whole "tanking" thing is that the Kamrie™ media is trying it's hardest to be transparent on the whole issue saying it's about "integrity" but really the true intention sticks out like a skid mark on white bedsheets.

Like someone said before "integrity only matters when it affects me"

does it compromise the games integrity when we put trengove or wines in for early surgery or not rush carlile back, or leave monfries out, all 4 would be playing if we were playing for a top 4 spot this week.

Don't you find it strange that Dean Bailey got suspended for deliberately losing ( they used another term) and yet this is allowed to go on? That was the harshest penalty on an individual ever. As if a first time senior coach would deliberately lose off his own bat. How did the CEO, President, Board of Melb escape penalty and anyway how is that different to what Ross Lyon and Scott have done? Deliberately not trying to win for the greater good of the club is ok sometimes clearly

Clearly different motivations here. Scott and lyon are resting players in an effort to have an advantage in the finals....so they can win. Not so they can finish lower on the ladder and snag better draft picks.

This isn't about the kangaroos or freo tanking, this is about The Advertiser and all crow ambassadors trying to hide behind the "integrity" tag to justify them whinging that the outcome of last nights game affected your teams chance of a home final.

I'd rather play a Dockers side with players trying to get into their finals team, than a team of stars trying to avoid getting injured and not wanting to play in a dead rubber and having to travel to Adelaide. Funny how 5double Crows can't raise this as an issue1

One is aimed at winning the other aimed at losing.

But they were trying to get better draft picks so they could win ( one presumes) and haven't Melb and Carlton come on along way since the Kreuzer cup of 2007? Motivation to make club more successful by not trying to win immediate game in front of them. Pretty similar

Crows currently rolling over so Geelong can finish ahead of us

I hope they carry that form into finals then are dissolved and replaced by a team in Tasmania. That's how it rolls, right Penbo?

If you think that resting players in round 23 is the same as tanking then go for it.
