Roll over. Should fight to wear home strip.
The consistency of Adelaide wearing clash vs Bulldogs in a final matches in the minor round, so there's not much to go on there. However Adelaide should be questioning why there's a clash between navy and royal in a game against the Dogs but not the Eagles.

Should just rock up to the G w/ their home strip and cop the fine.
The Power made the point last year during Richmond-Jumper-Gate that, yes you could do that, but the AFL have other ways of penalising you for going against their decisions and making them feel silly, like less good fixtures the next season etc, and you don't necessarily want to make one match in a different jumper cost you the one Friday night match you were probably going to get next year and you end up with 9 home games on Sunday at 12.40pm. Yes it'd stop the issue in the here and now but really the root cause (inconsistent/inappropriate clash jumper policy) needs to be addressed.

West coast should stand their ground. They are the home side and wear the tri panel, hawthorn created the power ranger jumper specifically for such a clash and will have to wear the consequences. Clash jumpers tend to slide under the radar until they are proven to be ghastly come finals time. Force hawthorn to wear it Friday and see such jumpers reduced to preseason games in the future.
They'll want to wear the wings. I don't think the wings clash with the Hawthorn jumper.
Do you actually expect the Eagles to be in full royal? I think there's about a 2% chance. I would love though for the AFL to say "**** the sponsors" and force West Coast to wear full royal against their will (but to the delight of the fans and all of us!)

P.S. love the old school shorts in your designs :thumbsu:
IIRC they do have royal jumpers with home sponsors.

No on both accounts. For better or worse, the tripanel is the club's home jumper and they will want to wear that; the Eagles won't care what Hawthorn has to wear.

And there haven't been home sponsored wings jumpers since like 2009

Only guaranteed final in wings will be the GF for traditions sake. Every other final there'll be a preference for the tripanel.

I didn't think the 'wings in GF' notion is necessarily about tradition (although it is a nice story); I have a feeling it's more to do with sponsor arrangements as obviously the Grand Final will be in Melbourne for a long time yet

Weren't we the home team in 05 though?

Yeah but as far as I know the sponsor arrangement isn't about designated 'home'/'away', it's about WA/non-WA. But then the derby games with WCE wearing white Bankwest clash throws that theory out the window (even though they have white Sgio clashes made up).

Who knows? :drunk:

I bet we'll see Eagles in tripanel with white shorts, Hawks in brown away with brown shorts. Ugly match up but the AFL don't have the stones to force the Power Rangers to be worn in a final.

If any clash was to be worn in a grand final, it would be fremantles, has to be the best clash in the league.
This would be the game that either the "clash" between Freo and Hawthorn disappears (ie 2010 Qualifying Final) or Freo would wear white.
Freo would look better with the white, but they would be the home team in the Grand Final, and therefore be able to wear their purple jumper in the Grand Final. Has the AFL ever asked the home team to wear a clash jumper in the Grand Final, so that the clash looks better?
