Brilliant. We desperately need to sign him on for... Three years? Sounds good enough to me. Very very impressive, has taken has chance and is running with it. Brilliant.

Great game yesterday. But still gave away too many free kicks.
given the way free's were being called (at one point i seem to recall a "Free Kick Collingwood" with no explanation), hardly a big knock on him. He does get pinged a lot in the ruck though.

Wonder what odds he is at for the Liston.

Only played the 10 games but from our reports, he has largely been the most influential of any AFL listed player across the season.

I'd guess he'd get about 15-20 votes. Is that on tonight?

Just must be played before Ambrose, if he's needed as no.1 ruckman some weeks so be it but don't drop him when he's not required to be no.1 ruckman.

he's played less than 50 games
think his improvement has been impressive. sometimes a player just needs some confidence, and he seems to have been getting it

Yeah

Quick google search reminded how good Johnathan Simpkin (Box Hill/Hawthorn) has been this year.
("Bests in 10 of 18 games with a clear BOG in 4 of them")

Good argument that Smack was best on in the 10 or so games he played in the first half of the year.

It would be one of the club's bigger **** ups in the last few years if he wasn't signed as that article seems to be hunting is a possibility.

But I'm certain we would be jumping at the chance to have him for 3+

"
McKernan is yet to find out whether Essendon will extend his contract beyond this season, but he confirmed he wants to stay at the club in 2016.

"I spoke to my manager and he's been in discussions with the club but we'll have to see what happens," McKernan said.

"100 per cent I'd be happy to stay. I don't want to go anywhere.""

If the club doesn't re-sign him I will be absolutely livid.
