There's talk about Sam Reid coming to us every offseason. Never eventuates though, can't really see it happening this year, I wouldn't have thought we could come up, with a deal to satisfy the Swans given their limitation on trading in players and what we may have to give up for Treloar and possibly Aish.

I think the bigger issue for GWS/GC has been talent development rather than identification. When you put a whole bunch of talented 18 year olds together they often develop much slower than if you had a few 18 year olds around a group of mature stars. It's the reason GC are still at the bottom of the ladder after all these years

I believe this was due to just about their 1st choice midfield wasn't available. Ablett, Prestia, Swallow and O'Meara. Outside Ablett, they are all young proven quality players. Throw in Martin missed a fair few games. They'll be decent next with a decent injury run.

Yep - With us Trading for Treloar. We won’t even get close to what the Swans would want for Reid.

This is a very weak draft, and we are going to have a few rookie spots open with frost likely promoted, armstrong and gault gone.

Would also indicate Shaz likely to stay.
