I'm a sport teacher. One of my suppliers told me today that Puma have been displaying samples of what is rumoured to be West Coast's new home strip for 2016. He saw 3 samples. The base colour is navy, wings and a different head. I showed him the one Imach submitted. He said it looked similar to that. He also said one of the samples was close to the heritage jumper in gold.

He told me it hadn't been signed off yet but there is a lot of work going on in the background for next year. He also said an announcement probably won't be made until all the old stock is sold.

My supplier told me the Eagles don't pay Puma to supply jumpers. Puma pay for the rights to supply. Puma also have to bankroll any changes.

Also shows how we can still have fuller wings, without having to try and squash the AFL and SGIO logos fully inside them, which is the only thing I didn't like about the 25th anniversary guernseys. The shape of the 2012 92 anniversary guernsey wings wasn't good IMO, those were too deep, the 2002 10th anniversary one's had it spot on.

This explains why it's taking so long (partially). Costs, etc.

He buys clothing off Puma and was shown the samples with the idea of introducing the new strip next year. He did reiterate that there was still work to be done before it is officially approved.

A new eagle head and therefore presumably a new logo would be a nice bonus. Give me a new eagle on the peril and I reckon I'd buy it day 1.

On another note I look forward to the moment when (hopefully) the changes are announced, and everyone goes from hating the club higher-ups to lauding them as bloody heroes.
