He seemed perfectly happy (even signed a 2 year extension) until midway through the season then boom form slump and home sickness rear there head.

I would expect him to be on a fair way less than that, yes. If there were only 22 players on a list and they were all paid the same it would be about $450,000 so guys on $600,000 balancing out the draftees, but given the salary of the initial contract is determined by the draft placing and so many 1st round picks being on the GWS list there is an unnatural salary cap pressure there.

Players should have to stick out and play until their contract is up. No one forced them to sign extentions etc.

99% of the time I hear homesick I think they are leaving for extra money.

Just pointing out he has been happy since he came to the club, even his very experienced manager organised a 2 year extension for him.
Now all of a sudden his form is down and theres a massive deal in front of him and now he is homesick.

Im sure its all coincidence. Which is fine and dandy.
Freo just have to pay through the nose to get him.

I understand he is under contract and blah blah but this is his workplace and homesick or not who could begrudge him for exploring the opportunity to earn some serious massive dollars.
Id ask to tear up my 2 year contract if it meant going to another workplace and being offered multiples on current deal.
I think many on here are making it seem like the dollar signs have turned him, well no shit but that doesn't make him not loyal or whatever. Just a young kid looking out for his best interests.
Every club would try to play hardball as would every club try to land a quality player.

How homesick are you if you sign a two year extension? If someone was desperately homesick, that wouldn't happen. The money is the factor here. His manager messed up and now he's trying to make up for it.
