RE: Small crumbing forwards.

That's a big priority for mine. I don't care if we dont have a betts, rioli or wingard but we need someone who can sit below the packs and at least ensure the ball is kept in the fwd 50 instead of run out easily. A bit of skill/polish, speed & goal sense is needed, whilst defensive pressure is highly desirable

Think Varcoe is perfect for the role but his work off half back and on the wing is important. Broomy is the other one but really never gets a decent run at it. Blair, Sinclair and Kennedy don't seem to suit for obvious reasons.

Need to take a punt and get one of these small forwards in the draft. Incredibly frustrating watching 3 of elliott, fas, cloke n white go for the same ball and let it drop to the ground n easily cleared out.

I seriously think we're mad if we don't try and get Matera in return for Seedsman. He seems to be on the outer and not particularly liked by Eade. Played as a perm small forward no reason why he could be the equal if not better than Ballantyne.

Actually no, they were quite annoyed it was a straight swap. Heath Shaw's performance in their colors has probably saved our bacon a little bit tbh

I think what has happened is, people with sources know this trade is happening like the general population. So they throw a dart at a board of days (Monday, Tuesday etc) and the one it lands on they state he is signing. As of tomorrow you have a 50/50 chance if he signs this week!
