I heard, A complex deal involving a few clubs that results in us giving up pick 60 for Fyfe, Roughead, GAJ, NicNat, and Bontempelli.... Not sure though.

I'd prefer 12 20 and 21 instead of Tomlinson and 10. I think the difference between 10 and 12 is small as they'd choose an academy player anyway or be forced too. We'd need a pick back in the 40-50s as well.

Difference is in a weaker draft securing 1,8 & 10 would net 3 quality 200 game afl players as opposed to 12 which will be a quality pick also, but 20 & 21 can be a bit hit and miss as the draft is already getting shallow..

Honestly people... we only really need 3 live picks plus SOSOS plus maybe a PSD pick and a rookie upgrade pick.

Picks 20 and 21 are going to be superfluous for us in the scheme of things. And if we can trade picks 20 and 21 to get an upgrade on 12 while using 12 to get us Tomlinson, it improves our situation and actually sits well with GWS. If we can get a pick in the 40s back as cover for Jack, then it is all good because if we force Bitchmond to hand over pick 12, then I fully expect them to try and use pick 19 to bid on Jack.

im not fussed about tomlinson. seems if we dont get him this year it will be next year anyway. we can go to the draft with 1, 8, 12/19, 20, 21 plus SOSOS. weve added 5 good young players on top of that. listening to sos im guessing we will get another player with a late pick.

I'm sorry, I must've read it wrong... But you did say you "prefer" (implies an alternative) .
And I understood it to mean you'd rather 3 picks than a player and one pick. Did I read that wrong?

It's not a 1,8,10 vs 12,20,21 debate. It's a 1,8,12, 20,21 vs 1,8,10 and Tomlinson debate as we both are assuming the yarran and 12 deal occurs.

Therefore this is 10 and Tomlinson v 12, 20 and 21.

So let's base it on who coukd go at those picks.

In My earlier post I said that keeping 20, 21 and 12 (Richmond) Instead of chasing Tomlinson for a two pick upgrade unless they throw in another 3rd rounder minimum to help with the points for sos.
