I like where you're going. Why?....well because it's one of the few here I think that could realistically happen. Personally I'd still swap Burton for Bonner, but Gresham or Clarke would be fine for #19. I think Burton will slide all the way into the middle of the second round.I'm still liking:
Weitering
Collins
Burton
Gresham

We need another two half back flankers about as much as I need an additional hole in the head. They would have to be bloody Elite with a capital E before I'd considered it (e.g. Francis). I would take the players he's picked at 24, 26 or 27 before I'd consider taking Tucker.BUCKENARA’S PHANTOM DRAFT TOP 30
1. Carlton — Jacob Weitering
Defender, 195cm, 91kg, Dandenong Stingrays/Mt Eliza/The Peninsula School
Gary Buckenara says: This is a really important pick for the Blues and it will deliver a key-position defender in Weitering who can also play a forward role. He will predominantly be that key defender and should play senior footy in 2016. He’s a potential captain.
2. Brisbane Lions — Josh Schache
3. Melbourne — Darcy Parish
4. Sydney Swans — Callum Mills
5. Essendon — Aaron Francis
6. GWS Giants — Jacob Hopper
7. Essendon — Charlie Curnow
8. GWS Giants — Matthew Kennedy
9. Gold Coast — Sam Weideman
10. Melbourne — Kieran Collins
11. Carlton — Darcy Tucker
Half-back, 184cm, 80kg, North Ballarat/Horsham Saints
Buckenara says: Tucker is a beautiful left-foot kick, he has good endurance, reasonable pace, makes good decisions with the footy and adds a touch of class. He’s a bit of a ball carrier — he’s not afraid to take players on. He’s actually not too dissimilar to Kade Simpson and the Blues need another player like that. He’s also potential captain material going forward.
12. Adelaide — Wayne Milera
13. Carlton — Harry McKay
Forward, 200cm, 95kg, Gippsland Power/Warragul
Buckenara says: Given I’ve got them taking Tucker and most of the other key-position players are gone, a guy like McKay would be a nice addition. He’s only been playing footy for four or five years, he’s been more of a basketball guy so he came into the program late but really improved and gained a lot of confidence out of his performances in the Under-18 championships. He’s a tall, agile forward who can probably go into the ruck because he can jump. He does need to put a body on but he’s a perfect key-position size.
14. Richmond — Rhys Mathieson
15. Adelaide — Riley Bonner
16. Brisbane Lions — Eric Hipwood
17. St Kilda — Ben McKay
18. Hawthorn — Jade Gresham
![]()
19. Brisbane Lions — Ben Keays
20. Gold Coast — Harley Balic
21. North Melbourne — Ryan Clarke
22. Hawthorn — Callum Ah Chee
23. Carlton — Tom Cole
Half-back, 185cm, 76kg, Sandhurst/Bendigo Pioneers
Buckenara says: A nice mover, Cole can play as rebounding defender, on the wing or as a high half-forward. He’s similar to Sam Docherty. He has pace, is a beautiful left-foot kick and makes good decisions with the ball. He’d be a good fit at the Blues.
24. Western Bulldogs — Clayton Oliver
25. Western Bulldogs — Jesse Glass-McCasker
26. Fremantle — Ryan Burton
27. West Coast — Josh Dunkley
More likely we'd take Weitering, Oliver, McKay, Burton rather than Weitering, Tucker (HBF), McKay, Cole (another HBF) imo.BUCKENARA’S PHANTOM DRAFT TOP 30

Have no idea where Tucker will go but he's much more than a HBF. Has played plenty of good footy in the midfield and is underrated on BigFooty. What's his weakness? So 2 half back flankers, and leaving Oliver to go after our 4th pick![]()

1. Weitering
8. Parish
11. Weideman
19. Gresham
I'd be kinda happy with that![]()
Not really, just slightly down on form for four weeks. Gun player with no real weaknesses.Didn't he have a real quiet patch of form this year?
Any reason for that?
No player is *too* tall. It's just the hit rate of particularly tall players putting together athleticism and game sense has been poor.
Largely this is because we tend to see clubs take a risk on potentially physically dominant players and really athletic people who have good game sense are already rare, let alone ones who stand over 2m's tall

So 2 half back flankers, and leaving Oliver to go after our 4th pick![]()
Hopefully Ah Chee wont be anywhere near the conversation for #11, not worth it.Wouldn't be surprised if we get another Tall/KPP at 8 in addition to Weitering then SOS goes with Ah Chee at #11.
No rumors or anything just a hunch...

I hope this isn't the Darcy Tucker they are referring to.
Have to disagree with you there. He was putrid in the champs imo. He may have been carrying something, who knows. He was better afterwards when he went back to the Rebels, but still, not interested. Seemed lazy and lacked impact from not much production, no inside game which isn't the be all and end all, but if he doesn't make it as an outside mid, he doesn't make it at all.Not really, just slightly down on form for four weeks. Gun player with no real weaknesses.
Do you think we could still possibly get Tomlinson next year C4?

#8 ... whoever was left of Parish/Curnow/Weideman/Francis/H McKay/Oliver .... in that order.
