Because it's funny (like the story that brought about your username).

Christ people are precious.
Ralph isn't trying to paint is as funny though. He's trying to paint it as a serious issue.

This thread is stupid, the article is stupid, the whole thing is stupid, who really gives an actual heck about this?

So he does or did think a guy is a w***er, big ******* deal.

I know him (more so his folks) personally, and he is far from being a dickhead.... Obviously made a couple of silly decisions (liking the pages, not removing it in the lead up to draft etc) but he is a quality kid, and will buy in to any 'punishment' that the Swans may have for him and come out learning from his mistakes.

Disappointing (though not surprising) that the Sun would run an article like this, when there were 50+ kids who have just realised their football dream. Surely they could have found something a bit more positive to go with.
Was actually having a go at the swans who pride on not having dh at there club , caught out

Don't have data, but if you go into a recent Adam Goodes thread that might help.

Because the pro-Goodes posters get chased off by dickheads that are totally not racist but really hate him for pointing out a 13 year old girl that used racial slurs.

Welcome to the AFL, Tyrone, where the media and supporters will analyze your every move. Kid will now have this follow him for the rest of his career, BF has a long memory.

Don't they have some sort of information pack that they give these kids when they nominate? Number one should be go through and clean up your social media.

What's that got to do with anything? People are asking why Ralph felt the need to make a big deal out of this. It's a relevant question.
People that read Ralph's drivel should be asking questions of themselves.

He's paid to do that. Look who he works for.

Faux outrage at faux outrage.

What a world we live in.

having a opinion is not welcomed in this day in age

No one said it wasn't welcomed, but it's out in the open and free to be criticised.

Would be interesting to hear what he says to Goodesy when he meets him. I mean, he's free to express his opinion about him and all so hopefully he does it to his face. It's his right after all.

The only annoying things about this is how bloody goodes is still making headlines, without any effort he is still in the limelight.

Most AFL clubs would probably fold in a few years when they don't draft players that have liked something political incorrect on facebook (or somewhere else on the internet). People below 30 that haven't will get harder and harder to find rather quickly...

Isn't stalking an 18 year olds facebook a bigger 'crime' than liking pages that might be crass but are also extremely widely held opinions?

I hope whoever got the screen shot and spread it around feels really happy with themselves.
If by "spread it around" you mean I posted it on the Swans board where multiple people had already mentioned the pages, then people ran with the same screenshot on Bay 13, Twitter, Reddit and the Herald Sun because they are lazy, then sure.
