Did the club ever consider Keiran Agius at all?
Too much risk?
No enough potential in the clubs eyes?

Also, If Kieran Lovell was available at our 1st, would we have jumped?
I know you asked Bond, but a quick look at Agius' stats for the year might explain why he wasn't drafted.

18 games of SANFL reserves, under 18s and nationals for a disposal average of 11.

Just a quick question.do you think lamb was drafted with a view to being a full time midfielder with his elite running ability or a forward who can pinch hit in the middle when required? Cheers

Early on predominantly a fwd - but as his body fills out then who knows.
Most players who operate across the flanks have desires to play through the middle as their size &/or tank improves.

I wouldn't say it if it were silly and unrealistic
It is unrealistic that we wouldn't miss the best tall forward in the game at the moment

Lamb's got the tank; he's now got the guns; all he needs is the go-ahead from the War Room.

Who's going to debut first?

• Partington
• Cole
• Mutimer
• Allen
• Snadden

Definitely Cole I reckon. Parto probably doesn't have the outside game to shine before he's developed whereas Cole could slot into a backline spot ala Nelson and be okay IMO.

That being said I'd be surprised if any debuted this year

I personally reckon Mute Button might get a gig.

He's a pretty decent build and might get a call up in the backline if one of Sheppingham goes down. But yeah, hard to see any of them get a spot. Hopefully they don't bail.

In regards to fitting a number of good players coming in to our best 22 for the GF with the loss of Rosa and Sinclair, it happens every year that the depth looks great in the pre-season and you have a few good players outside the starting team, then we get injuries, then somehow Mcginnity is getting a game...happens every year.

Yeah I agree with you. Said in another thread I can see Mutimer developing as a skillful defender and would be second to debut behind Cole IMO.

The other three will all be projects.

For mine it was never about current output...Especially when you get to the rookie draft, more about the vision of potential and ceiling.
I liked what I saw in all the videos I could find, I didn't like what I hear about application but again the rookie draft would be the time to role the dice.

Personally, I don't see Partington as a project. Looks to me to have far more talent and dedication than that description.

I dont see Murtimer making it, i rekon he will be the first of his draft class to be cut.

"I'm coming off an adductor release (operation), so I'm a bit modified at the moment," Redden told 6PR.

"So I'm in the rehab (group) but I'm still running a few kilometres every week, I should be back in training before Chrissy hopefully.”

Redden will be aiming to slot into a midfield that prides itself on contested possession, an area he excelled in during his time at the Lions.

Redden says Adam Simpson has already spoken to him about his role next year. This is from the Eagles website. Can see Redden pushing 90kg or more and really being a threat next season.

I know yeo is really strong and that but does any one rekon that he is one of those player struggles putting muscle on? You look at other players of similair sizes like dangerfield, fyfe, kennedy and even pendlebury to an extent and all of them are very big. yeo is listed as 86khs but if he gets to a bout 92-90kgs, he will be pretty hard to stop on the inside.

Depends on how you define project. He doesn't have glaring weaknesses but he will need a few years before being able to play well at AFL level IMO
