The AFL has been far more pro active in dealing with social issues. They may not be perfect and they may also make decisions with a fair amount of expediency in their own favour, but they still have championed certain causes which have lead to changes in society. Look at their racial discrimination policy and how that is now viewed. The AFL played a big part in starting the momentum for change.Unlike the afl?
