So you like dead end speaking jobs :)
I was following Port Adelaide 20 years before you were born:D so was debating football a lot longer than you:D
You can hardly call spitting on opposition supporters "debating".

No Club affiliated with the SANFL could claim to be a financial powerhouse. This included Port Adelaide. When Adelaide and then Port Adelaide joined the AFL the SANFL wanted money money money and took all they could from both Clubs, bleeding them dry with Port nearly over the edge. You only have to look at the financial returns. This is when Port said enough is enough and started a campaign for Adelaide Oval and to ditch Football Park.
In the next few years both Clubs should have money in the Bank, as they say..
Port developed Alberton Oval, putting up an Administrative Centre and Club Rooms.

That's the problem with yuse new age port supporters always looking around for someone/something to blame for all your woes.

I'm not quoting post 1991, for all your success over a hundred years it added up to nought.

Think the Administrative Centre was funded by a significant sponsor?

Life member of the PAFC for more than 10 years of service to our club. Assistant coach from 1999-2009 and then again in 2014. Spent longer at Port Adelaide then any other club in his tenure, whether it be playing or coaching. By any measure, that makes him a Port person. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Another lemming who believes that what is all good in this state just happens to belong to the PAFC.

Come on Janus you, are slipping old boy not in the top one hundred of your soul stirring sermons.

Not sure why this needs to be a debate as no-one owns grief. I do agree he is a "Port person" though.

But I will say that I find it somewhat fitting that the last footy game he attended was the SANFL Showdown at Alberton Oval. I was standing near the huddle at 3/4 time as he spoke to some of our guys. Am eternally glad I went that day and went out to the huddle. Got to hear what he said to Rory Atkins to motivate him and have a better understanding of why players loved him, enough to bring Ollie Wines to tears after your tribute game.

Quite fitting as Alberon Oval was the Oval where he spent the most time coaching at, being there to see and assist the Reserves of the club he was head coach of.

Yes but you do realise that your premierships were in a 16 team comp, 2 teams of which were new teams, so effectively a 14 team comp.
Yep, I can accept that Freo and Port weren't real teams in 1997. Puts you at odds by about 130 years with the rest of your club's supporters though.

The look of acceptance and inevitable doom was priceless at a function i attended this weekend with a couple of pafc members. Wines is gone. Carlton have offered him a massive deal. One he can simply not refuse. There was always one that had to be squeezed out from dixon, ryder and co taking the $$$. Apparently his manager and the club are not seeing eye to eye and it will drag out to the end of the year, sound familiar...

Can't keep their food on the table. Lulz. Graham made sure food was kept on the family table this weekend. Chads new job and all.

Just general members. Both pafc through and through. Stuck fat through the tarp times. One said his manager is the main problem and is a complete knob. He believes the deal is done, hence the postponing of contract negotiations. Carlton throwing the $$$ at him, hawthorn aswell but nowhere near as much. **** knows how hed know but it sounds good to me. Finally a good news story.

Physical beast player. Not sure as retention is sweet ATM. If massive coin to a lesser side, for success, I'd falter.
