I reckon this thread will continue on into the round 1 stomping we're going to hand out to the Hawfs. Will be the thread that keeps on giving all year long.

Personally I hope Geelong step up again next year, the rivalry over the past 8 years has been some of the most enjoyable football I can recall witnessing.
Unless the Hawks are suffering a Premiership hangover I find it very unlikely the Cats will stomp the reigning 3peaters.
Good luck I expect Geelong to be a top 6 team with the soft draw they have.

The only thing I have seen was the H&A records and more A&A reps. It's all about the Premierships always has been, always will be.

Cats choked in the finals, did they ever beat a team that was the favourite on GF day. Hawks have won twice as the under dog in the Grand Final.
The strength in the Hawks team is the balance, sure some teams may have had some better individual players but no team comes close to the level of the Hawks balance and bottom 6 players.

The majority of our supporter base actually don't give a shit. After growing up during the 44 year drought I am thankful we have 3 flags and I'm excited about our future. Would I have liked to see as many flags as the Hawks? Yes. But am I in any way envious or jealous of it? Not in the slightest. I love the Cats and nothing any other club does makes me love my team less.

This is something Hawks have trouble grasping.
