... and what of Dean Robinson. He was part of the program and specifically the consent forms which listed Thymosin.

He knew, approved and encouraged the Thymosin stuff. He admitted to injecting himself with CJC. He gave Bock the same drug.

Is this world gone mad and he's walked away with a shit load of cash.
But they took away his work car an he had to ring his missus to pick him up.

Oh the indegnity of it all.

Dank messaging the Melbourne doc regarding thymomodulin jabs and aod cream for use on Deed.
Haven't you read the AFL memo?

Melbourne, Gold Coast and Geelongs links were looked at and everything was hunky dory ok, so no need to ask those pesky questions, if you want to keep your accreditation.

Essendon CAS verdict: Dons seek appeal loophole
Bitterly disappointed by season-long suspensions, current and former Essendon players have their lawyers exploring avenues for legal action that might overturn the verdict.

the switzerland court would be rigged.

There is no way that they would over turn a CAS ruling regardless of how manipulated the decision was.

unless its done in Australia i doubt it would happen

Good. Nothing left to lose.

Has anyone sent Evans a thank you ham for putting us in checkmate before this thing even got started? Maybe we should chip in and get him a membership to sit amongst the EFC faithful for every painful ****ing game this season. I'm
Sure he would welcome the break from his lucrative business ventures with Vlad and co and appreciate spending time supporting the club he loves so dearly.

The view of Hargraves and others in the players' defence was that the CAS set the bar for comfortable satisfaction too low.

No shit

One point Hargraves has noted is that the players were treated by the CAS as a collective and the differences in circumstances and individual evidence were not taken into account in either the verdict or the sentence.

Another objection and even a point that could be challenged was that the CAS did not take into account the delay caused by Essendon's Federal Court action when setting out the sentences. As the players' lawyers pointed out, the players were not part of the action taken by Essendon and James Hird against ASADA in the Court.

The players' lawyers also noted that there was dissent among the three-man panel, with one judge not comfortably satisfied that some players – the number is not specified but has to be at least two – took thymosin beta-4, although the dissenting panellist was satisfied that players did take TB4.

Legal sources with a knowledge of the case speculated that the dissent would likely have been based on the timing of injections in 2012.

The avenues that are being investigated include the Swiss Federal Court, the Supreme Courts of the Victoria and NSW and the Federal Court of Australia.

Bugger it, let's go Federal ...then High

Bock got off because "you can't trust it was what it said it was" - incidentally the same reasoning we copped $2m, draft picks, finals and half our ****ing side.

They have upheld an appeal against CAS only once on a case basis, Matuzalem. so it is possible.

Possible... but unlikely.

If they did want to pursue a possible appeal, doing it in Australia would be the logical choice i would've thought...

Not only did they not take that into account, but they actively used it against them when it came to backdating the penalties, the players council argued for a reduced penalty due to the drawn out nature of this whole thing but CAS argued that they held it up with 'their' federal court action...

I conclude that if this was Norf Melvin, they would be boarding up Arden St right now to become a commission tower.

Then an unrelated press conference called to announce a Tasmanian side. Probably called the Devils

Which again leaves me wondering; if they got something so simple incorrect, what else have they misinterpreted/chosen to not understand/flat out made up?

What of Paul Hamilton? Didn't Dank and Robinson report to him? I imagine Dean Wallis (he of the botched spreadsheets) did as well and he was part of the club executive (Hird wasn't)...but barely a word about him and not a word from him for three years.

The curious one is that CAS acknowledged there were 27 versions of Thymosin but elected to only gloss over why they believed TB4 was used on the players. This was no strand of evidence adding to the rope, just a piece of used dental floss.

Another thing mike- in the interview with Nick McKenzie in April 2013, the prevailing view is that Dank confessed to using TB4 because he wasn't aware it was banned. It's odd then that there is no reference to TB4 in any of the email and text exchanges between Dank and the coaches and players. He always refers to it as Thymosin, why not TB4, given he believes it legal.

Why and how did Robinson get off so lightly? In fact he walked away with more than a million dollars and hardly analysed or criticised in the media.

My very cynical view....Robinson played a big role at Geelong when they won their flags. He worked with dank at Geelong. You attack and analyse Robinson to closely and who knows what you find out and come up with.

It is much better to go after the team that had no success, than it is to go after the team that win 3 flags.

Very cynical I know, but possible.
