Didn't really know where to post this, maybe I need my own random thought thread :p

To the best of my knowledge we have no private investigators here on the board (probably a few stalkers though, I kid, sort of), but I was curious if anyone knows what old mate Andrew Williams, ex-Collingwood and West Coast player is doing with life after football? I was at work, as I'm going up the escalator to the break room, a contractor is coming down the other side. I glanced at him, then had to have another look because he looked familiar, upon further reflection I'm almost certain it was him. Just curious :)

What knowledge or info do you have to suggest he should be in full training now? Can you also tell us the exact operation he had?

His surgery was 3 months ago and at the time we were told it wasn't major and he would be in full training post the Christmas break for memory.

And no, I don't know the exact specifics on his surgery.. so I guess that means I can't have expectations that he would be in full training within a few months.

I know you're going to try and twist this into me saying Treloar is finished, so I'll leave it at that. Hopefully he can get enjoy miles into his legs to set him up for a brilliant season

Calm down - still running laps like he has for 2 months

You said that Treloar and Aish had "chronic" injuries which means they will either impact the players for a long time or recur on a consistent basis. Do you still stand by this claim or were you just exaggerating to try and get a response from people?

I was told by a pies inside that they are holding him back as much as possible to ensure is 100% , they are happy that he won't need too much ball skill work due to his abilities / professionalism. Back full training in about a week to a week and a half. Take a chill pill everyone.

I just couldn't work out if it was him. Wasn't star struck (he looked like he's been in hibernation since retirement)

To answer your question - not really sure, shouldn't be that hard.

Okay, thanks!

Will be sure to ring you up when my BF & I are in Melbourne too ;)

Joined Fraser at what's left of the bullants in the vfl. Fraser coach, Williams assistant.

Now there's a guy I'd love to get back to Collingwood! Brilliant football brain and the attitude that our club needs, IMO.
As good as Jolly was for us, I thought Fraser was a bit harshly treated at the end of his Collingwood days.

While I agree it would be great to get him back to the club, at the same time it's good that he's gaining experience and different perspectives. Maybe one for a couple of years down the track.

Fraser's problem in the last few years. His body was Stuffed and he seemed to be always Injured

Given that Aish has started participating in match practice again, I think we all know the answer to that.

I'd say it sounds like they're not pushing too hard because they know they don't have to.

So Treloar does not need much Match Simulation?

I thought he would because he has not played with us yet

Exactly.

Brayden Sier: Having played predominantly at school and local level last year, the Pies' shock first pick has a considerable way to go to reach AFL-standard fitness levels. However, the big-bodied midfielder/forward has surprised by completing almost every session and handling the workload well. Has also impressed with his decision-making, kicking and hunger for knowledge.
Tom Phillips: The attacking left-footer immediately made a statement by dethroning the club's endurance king Steele Sidebottom in a 2km time trial in November. His turn of speed and neat disposal have also been noted.
Ben Crocker: The former Vic Metro vice-captain has lived up to his reputation as an aggressive forward/midfielder, being a standout with his hardness and love of the contest in competitive drills. After sliding down the draft order further than expected, he has started his AFL journey with a fiercely determined approach.
Rupert Wills: The powerful, mature-aged midfielder/forward has impressed with his stoppage work – hitting the contest at speed, winning the hard ball, breaking tackles and bursting away. Working on building a stronger fitness base.

ROOKIES
Josh Smith: The mature-aged rookie midfielder from Queensland isn't yet among the fittest players at Collingwood but has already shown an admirable penchant for punishing himself physically. Trains with genuine intensity, whether it be on the track or in the gym, and attacks everything with gusto.
Darrean Wyatt: The Melbourne-born former US college basketballer looms as one of the AFL's most impressive athletic prospects, being among the fastest players on the Pies' list despite his 204cms. Needs to develop his overall fitness, but the budding tall forward already reads the game well and has a knack of finding space. - Ben Collins

They Missed Gold.

Sier sounds Promising. Love the The Sound of Crocker

Wyatt being 'one of the fastest players on the list' at 204cm is surprising to say the least. Really looking forward to seeing how he develops this year.

He is a Interesting one as he was Born in Melbourne and Must of at least played Footy in the School Yard. So could he be Fast Tracked because of that. Being Fast is not Everything I am more Impressed with Reports of him Finding Space

I think he's originally from Mansfield, Victoria

What I am saying is how did he get this reputation all of a sudden as a 'brilliant football brain' after 1 or 2 years coaching Gold Coast reserves? Perplexing.

Not much in his playing career could give him that title.
